Discussion I have ever been part of a group that made a poor decision. Whenever dealing with a group there are very high chances of influence, below are some of the reasons that led to the poor decision. Direct pressure from some members, increased optimism, collective rationalizations, and members ignoring ethical results related to the decision, and finally self-unanimity. A decision made by a group is two-edged, the decision could be well thought and thus excellent, and it could also be uninformed, thus a poor decision. Increased optimism is one of the leading causes of poor decisions in a group. Members are very optimistic and they feel that even if there will be a loss in the group then it will be shared. Such minds make the group members take very high risks where some are not worth it. Also, the group may suffer excessive and direct pressure from some of the members, some may have their decisions suppressed and thus lack the basis to support their stand. This particularly happens if the most influential members lack ethical considerations.…
Human resource Name Professor Date Seemingly nothing is more critical for the international business enterprise than culture and how to manage individuals who work in the industry efficiently. The hiring and treatment of workers in an international organization often seem so bound up in the culture, rules, regulations, and red tape that effective management is frequently complicated (B, 2019). A geocentric approach refers to a staffing policy that seeks the best individual for key jobs throughout the organization, not considering nationality but skilled and talented and having a satisfying track record. In this type of approach, an organization analyzes its clients’ need globally and then implements a standardized working practice in every market it serves (International HRM, 2018). This process is more practical and considers prevailing market trends, financial situation, promotion strategy, recruitment issues, etc. In the ethnocentric approach, recruitment policy is where parent-state nationals fill all main administration positions to sustain a unified corporate culture. The organization operates globally the same way it functions domestically, using the…
Pelayo M. Martinez Rodriguez Miaja Karen Vatz EN101 November 17, 2020 Helpful or Detrimental Schools have used standardized tests to judge students based on whether they will be successful in life. (Scogin et al., 39). There has been great debate on whether the federal government should mandate annual standardized testing of all students. Millions of students in the United States in the springtime are prepared for just one yearly standardized test (Scogin et al., 47). The topic has been a controversial topic among students, teachers, parents, and even voters. Notably, standardized tests are federally mandated, timed tests with one set of multiple-choice questions that fit all, and they are designed to measure the student’s performance in subjects like reading and math. The federal Department of education, since 1969, adopted the National Assessment of educational progress to monitor and test the student of America on their academic achievement (Rezai-Rashti et al., 2). However, it was not until the Clinton administration in 1994 proposed that every federal state received money for testing third through annual eighth-graders on math and reading. Every two years, the…

By considering the context of the time that the Declaration of Independence was drafted, we can see its effects upon the members of the early American society and how they responded to the writing (Jefferson 4). When Thomas Jefferson was drafting the Declaration of Independence, he foresaw the coming of changes in America. One of the main issues Jefferson addressed was the freedom of religion.
