The Personality Myth Great post. Thanks for sharing. The personality myth by invisibilia is one of the fascinating episodes I have ever listened to. I agree with you that the marshmallow test is interesting because it sheds light on how human beings shave consistent personalities that help shape their future lives. Although our personalities may remain the same in most cases, I believe personality traits are significantly impacted by the environment we are exposed to and personal experiences. Over the past years, the marshmallow test has gained significant interest because personality traits help shape our future lives. I agree with you that personality is an old thing, but it plays a critical role in influencing our lives directly. However, marshmallow tests on the personality myth have some loopholes as the discussion seems to imply that our future is in a marshmallow. Another interesting thing with the invisibilia podcast is how different phrases are made to reappear with the sentiment that “you might find it hard to accept that there aren’t any core traits that are permanent and fixed.” I…
Minimizing acute to severe risks from floods calls for efficient risk management strategies that include preparedness and active response. Predicting flash floods in an area is one form of determining the amount of associated risk thus being a basis for preparedness. Since the focus of my study is to determine whether the amount of rainfall in September in the coastal cities can be used to predict flash floods in another city, kriging interpolation method can be employed to estimate rainfall values in another city. More particularly, the study can apply ordinary interpolation kriging that provides probabilities under which predictions of a variable occurring lie. The interpolation method uses data from Geographic Information System. The R statistical software will be employed to perform the kriging statistical analysis technique. Before conducting ordinary kriging, the data must be devoid of any skewness to reduce biasness. I will first create a semiva-riogram to visualize the variance in the estimates with distance between the sampled cities. Since ordinary kriging takes the assumption of spatial autocorrelation, the plot shows the range and distribution of data points…
Acquiring the Licensure for Special Education Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Course Name and Number Professor’s Name Date Acquiring the Licensure for Special Education Special Education is concerned with educating children with needs and providing services that are effective to these children. There is a close relationship between this section and the National Council for Special Education (NSCE) (Kim &Lee, 2017). The NSCE body ensures that the children with special needs are educated effectively, and resources for education are provided. The Inception of the Church Author’s Name Institution Affiliation Course Professor’s Name 15th November 2020 Scholars have controversial and contradicting views on when the church began; proponents of ecclesiology theology suggesting that it began during the Old Testament, while those for dispensational theology arguing that the church started in the era of the New Testament. The Greek definition of the church as individuals who have been called out for God from the world favors ecclesiology theology. However, dispensational theology is favored when the church is perceived as a congregation of individuals who follow Jesus Christ as the Messiah and are led by the Holy Spirit. Looking at the current church’s behavior and attributes, I believe that dispensational theology is more realistic and comprehensive than ecclesiology theology. According to the New Testament, the church began immediately after Jesus had died and resurrected. On this particular day, the followers of Jesus celebrated the Day of Pentecost when they were filled and overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-47). Ten days before the celebration, Jesus…
Name: Instructor: Task: Date: The Alcatraz Proclamation As evident from Alcatraz Island’s illegal seizure, the course of history is determined by the conquerors. Alcatraz’s isle caused major strife and an eventual standoff between the Native American people and the Anglo-Saxon invaders. The English imperialists had tended to seize other territories; therefore, the Native Americans sought to address their island’s seizure through a letter. “To the Great White Father and his People” is a letter written in 1969 that emphasized Alcatraz Island’s ownership. The occupants were diversely mixed, having all natives reside together and therefore embark on stating their grievances as a collective nation comprised of all the Indian tribes. Contents of the letter were seen to unequivocally proclaim their right to the land straightforwardly, employing ethos, logos, and an exemplary diction choice that adequately supplemented their argument. In essence, the letter used a distinctive and authoritative tone that demanded that their grievances be attended to without disrespecting their American audience. The natives’ discourse was in the line of trying to buy back their land from the American government but was…
An offer is a proposal made by a buyer or seller that is conditional on a certain product or service that becomes legally binding once accepted. It is the act of offering something for sale or the process of submitting a bid to buy something. It is a conditional proposal that is legally binding; it has different types with distinct features. While an advertisement is the promotion and marketing of a product or service to people in order to attract, engage, and interest the viewers. It is paid for by the creator and in total control over the message and content to be shown. An advertisement is not legally binding like an offer; it is but a non-personal promotion of an identified business’s ideas, goods, or services. (Ward,2020). Therefore an advertisement can be distinguished from an offer with the fact that an offer is legally binding once accepted. In contrast, an advertisement is a promotion of ideas and is not binding in any way. Distinguishing an offer from an advertisement is important in such a way that it avoids the…

Racism is discrimination by an individual, institution, or community against a person or people based on their membership of a particular ethnic group. In racism, there is a belief that groups of humans possess different traits corresponding to physical appearance. Racism has led to stress, which has negative side effects on human health. In Kenya, racism occurs mostly between the Kenyans people and Chinese investors. An example of racism is when Zenah, working as a secretary, is being harassed by his manager on his appearance and questions her about Islamic customs. As time moves, Zenah begins to discover that his workplace is intimidating and hostile. Another example of racism is when a Chinese man working in Nairobi started calling his employee a monkey and referred to all Kenyans as primates. Another example also is Raphael, a Chinese man who had gone for a job interview as a sales manager, and he did well. The following day, he came with his wife, who is a Kenyan. The interviewer told Raphael that he would not be hired because of the color of…
Test design Purpose In the contemporary world, it has become hard to gauge the rate of learning. Cognitivism is a concept that has been developed to try and understand the process through which learning is attained. As compared to other concepts that focus mainly on the behaviors, cognitivism uses the internal connections and processes that take place when one is learning. Understanding the learning process and the connections that go on while learning helps understand why people understand and take things differently. The instrument will help in better insight into the changes that go on during the learning process. The instrument will help educators and people with children have a new and different way of looking at the children and learners under them and better understand their views and reasons for doing things. Using this instrument, the people in the education sector will have an easy way of gauging their students’ understanding and learning levels. It has been a huge issue with educators trying to use behavioral changes to gauge the changes and learning levels. Cognitive tests gauge the learning…
The Efficiency of Data Systems International COVID-19 complications directly disrupted supply chains across the world. In March 2020, a survey compiled feedback from several companies in the US regarding the impact of COVID-19 on their supply chains. From the report, 95% of the participants claimed disruptions in their supply chains. Efficiency For efficiency in productivity, digitalized information should be underscored as an alternative to paper processes. Manual procedures mostly give petite reflectivity that is necessary for the proper management of supply chains. That is where Data Systems International comes in. Companies should use them to provide workers with real-time information and eliminate time-consuming problems resulting from paper progressions. Compliance Security and privacy of information are what every company desires, particularly if the data is most important, like in the COVID-19 pandemic. Data Systems International, in partnership with DocuSign, ensures contracted suppliers and vendors meet SLA’s. This ensures validation in real-time against the original contracts. Inventory Optimization Information within a chain of supply has to be accurate and real-time too. Nevertheless, it should be captured whether inside or outside the storeroom…
