Most people think that the key to workers motivation is giving them performance-based raises. People will work hard and hard for the uptick in their weekly or monthly paycheck.  The motivational tactic has been in operation for many years and does not do much in giving employees much-needed motivation. A researcher has found very little connection between job satisfaction and pay. One analysis at sometimes even cited that the incentives of targeting extrinsic motivations harm workers intrinsic motivation (Putra, Cho & Liu, 2017). This is particularly true where job tasks are exciting rather than being dull.  In many instances, money does not equal to more type of motivation; however, intrinsic motivators are the keys to high rates of success and improved engagement within the workplace.

Through intrinsic and extrinsic methods, there are different simple ways which can be employed to motivate the employees when rewards and raises fail—one of these methods id through creating a culture of respect within the organization. Research has shown that there is a positive impact and an atmosphere of consideration and respect has on stimulating the creative output (Putra, Cho & Liu, 2017). Within the workplace, nothing sucks energy or creativity like dreading having to operate and work with someone who actively dismiss, plain mean and tempered. Through this method, it is easy to get caught up within the fast approaching breadth and deadlines of a significant campaign for the core client. The agency of the leadership team is responsible for accurately maintaining personal respect. People working in many organizations, are all adults but are not licensed to maltreat people.

With this, an employee does not exist solely within an agency environment. There are people with lives outside the workplace and are in a position to operate. A significant way to treat people with respect and kindness is to show them that the work-life balance matters to you actively. Organization managers should keep an active eye on employees who never take their vocational times (Putra, Cho & Liu, 2017). Managers should be real on what they are doing and should work towards improving the workers’ different actions towards improving their operational capability.

Rather than using the old methods of motivation, managers should work towards mentoring workers. Two years from now, very few employees will need to keep doing the same thing they are doing right now but will need to change and try something new rather than what they are doing. Managers should actively motivate employees within there working environments through providing them with the clear paths to grow professionally for the theoretical potential would not allow them to do (Putra, Cho & Liu, 2017). The concept of motivating them means having a constructive framework and feedback on current work and consistent opportunities to be able to take on new projects and task which means giving them feedback on their present work from time to time. Additionally, the management should set aside a budget to be paying employees to attend formal training and conferences, both in-person and online. Managers should always promote workers from within if possible, and if not possible, then that becomes a red flag.

For any organization, implementing these motivational strategies needs a compatible agency culture. Culture starts with the need and agency of people leadership. In many organizations, managers engagement accounts for a total of 70% of the variation of employee engagement.
