What is the article about?
The article illuminates the challenges that poor and front liners workers go through, especially in time of Covid 19 crisis. In poorer countries, the front line workers are not adequately protected against the virus while the poor are struggling to cope with harsh economic times due to lockdown restrictions imposed by the government.

The study was performed to sensitize the government to come up with policies that favour both the rich and the poor. The rich can survive even with the lockdown, but the poor individual needs to work daily to bring food on the table.
Findings
The deplorable state of existence among poor communities, lack of clean water, lack of sanitation, poor nutrition, poor housing and costly health services exposes these communities to Covid 19 pandemic.
The existence of global pandemic hampers human development. The government needs to exercise equality in the implementation of its programs. Social safety should come first during the crafting of government policies.
To effectively cater for the welfare of the rich and the poor, the government needs to strengthen the institutional framework of the disaster risk and management. This framework plays a functional role in striking an equilibrium between economic and social objectives.

That said time limitations curtailed the scope of the study.
