In the student’s examples formulated, it is crystal clear to identify all the CARS Model moves 1, 2, and 3. Both students have established the territories of their writings. The first student identifies his territory as Telecommunication, in which he builds up the essence of telecommunication in our modern world. The second student has also narrowed down specifically to Arts Management, where he clearly establishes it to have a vital role in school life.
Secondly, the move on establishing the Niche is apparent in both writings. They build the background of their established territories and bring out clearly the importance of the selected territories in their welcoming statements. Furthermore, the third movement is also used. They navigate through the Niche. In filling the gap, they outline the preeminent need for the guide course books used in both fields. These fields both contain the major elements of subdivisions that are useful in the entire semester. Therefore, the course guidelines they offer gives an interesting hook that pulls their listeners.
From the student’s examples written in the previous semesters, I would borrow the entire formatting. The CARS Model Moves one to three used in navigating their ideas is very simple detailed, and easy to understand. For every work that is considered standard, simplicity is essential and must be the topmost aspect of any writing. Consequently, laying out details systematically as in the student’s examples is necessary for creating a welcoming statement and any work that seeks to pass their minds to their audience or readers. The development of the contents in these works is interesting and hooks the reader with the need to find out more of what lies in the next line or paragraph. I thereby would borrow their concept of output in my own welcoming writing.
In my own welcoming statement, I would write on the bachelor of Business and Management. Being a conventional student’s course, it definitely is a course that every institution provides for in their protocols. I would thus formulate the critical need for taking the course in my introductory paragraph and conquer my listeners’ ears and direct them to this territory in my own perspective.
Moreover, l would employ the CARS Model’s second and third moves most peculiarly. Bringing out the perception that my audience has to align themselves and relate to that topic is essential. Engaging their minds in realizing the establishment and the running of the course outline would be my priority. This would allow me to fully navigate them through the unknown gap with the main objective as pasting it adequately in their minds, such that it sticks and is easy to remember.
Finally, the most critical aspect that I would bring out in my writing is the hook. Binding the ears and minds of both listeners and readers are the key to creating the intended impact. No matter how good or informative the piece is, maintaining the connection to your intended people will all be in vain. So I will employ plain language that is easy to understand and leave a great desire to build throughout my work to maximize this advantage.
