Uber was founded as Ubercab by Garrett camp in December 2009 in Paris. Uber was developed due to the urban woe of not getting a cab in a storm. The word Uber was derived from a German word that meant “above all the rest.” The connectivity of the UberCab was introduced by telling all riders to open their mobile phones, tap a button, and find an affordable ride. Uber Company dropped the Cab since it wasn’t a taxicab company and stick with uber alone. Uber began hiring employees right away, and they got their first chief executive officer through Twitter. Uber’s total revenue declined by 29% last May, but Uber has promised the investors that there is cash to power despite the issue. The main product in Uber is Uber X, which is affordable rides. Uber offers both products and services. Uber products include mobile apps and websites, while Uber services include Vehicles for hiring and Uber Eats.
Covid 19 pandemic has led to revenue loss in Uber Company compared to other competitors such as Amazon Flex. Covid 19 has led to the temporary suspension of Uber nationwide services. Covid 19 also has led Uber passengers to be anxious and feel the self-driving cars are not safe during this pandemic.
