I will incorporate the term heteroglossia, the coexistence of many voices chained to one discourse, to bring Jeffery’s ideology into the system of linguistic representation. Also, I might consider coupling a Marxist approach with new historicism because there is a particular issue of class and consumerism in the book.

I believe that using another Jeffrey’s book as an outside source will illustrate the connecting themes of memory and will be a fruitful resource to add to my paper. However, I need to find more sources that solely address literature application of the Virgin Suicides. Having determined holes in my research, it remains that more analysis that deals with just Virgin Suicides and information that pertains to the industry of literature application will need to be obtained to strengthen my argument.
