The Role of Humanitarian
On 19th August, which is known to be World Humanitarian Day, we honor and celebrate the frontline workers who are known to have taken the risk to ensure the continuation of healthcare support provision and ensure the protection of the neediest individuals. During this day, we also honored the death of humanitarians, their harassment, and injured while carrying out their responsibility or duty. This leads to the year’s theme of Real-life heroes. To be a hero is the act of taking the risk in order to save other individual’s life or community, specifically the most vulnerable individuals during the disaster occurrence. The humanitarians are playing an important role in ensuring the protection of vulnerable individuals during the disaster. The covid-19 pandemic has been the topic related to heroes.
There are medical professional heroes who passed away during this pandemic as a result of taking a risk to save the vulnerable individuals who were believed to covid-19 victims. The individuals who died while helping the needy individuals are known to be the heroes since they took the frontline in doing the researching and treating the covid-19 victims. Most of the time, when the pandemic occurs, the humanitarians are always taking the front to enhance protecting the community against the disaster. During this season of covid-19, the humanitarians were frontline to ensure proper intervention of arising challenges by covid-19, thereby ensuring the protection and making awareness to individuals within the society. Humanitarians, as heroes, are known to continue with their operations at work despite the risk they undergo. They are known to be working selflessly or diligently, providing assistance to vulnerable individuals at periods of disaster.
Though covid-19 pandemic, it is known to unveil the important data of vulnerabilities also through the exposure of our weaknesses hence preventing shocks. It also indicates the magnitude of challenges to be exceeding capacity response for a country. However, the pandemics of covid-19 are known to be the super-villain, though it doesn’t affect the real-life heroes to attend to their duty and serve the individuals who are vulnerable. The humanitarians always focus and work to enhance the methods of combating the threat.
