Change
From the expression of Mclntosh’s opinion and happenings in terms of white privilege, I would like to change the fact of not enjoying the services or other inductions referencing white privilege and preferably do it in a merit status. In this dimension of change, the concept of entertaining the white privilege benefits to come my way and shape my decision; it will impact how I feel or react to the expression. To write a clear change in the whole society in terms of white privilege, there is a need to cutting-off connections with the mantra and have an independent mindset about what is right. For the change to be effective around society, it has to begin somewhere, and that involves making a sacrifice on some of the essential things in one’s life. Under this concept, getting rid of such happenings will involve scale from enjoying the white privilege as that will help address the unjust treatment of other races and pass the message to the oppressors. It will change how they view as well as handle things thinking of white privilege.

As a person from a different race and not being white, I tend to agree with the statements made by Mclntosh in relation to white privilege. First, bringing on board a just society helps to bring diversity and wash away the discrimination that existed for other races. Secondly, the white privilege has no tangible evidence that it cannot get washed away, but just a created norm that has every way to change it. Correctly, it has gotten accepted as a culture by even other races even though it is and can be quickly done away with the realization by the white individuals on need to drop their attitudes. Lastly, most white individuals have had no contribution or say towards enjoying the privilege but do so by luck or being born as white individuals. I agree that since culture’s aspects get provided, the existing practices get passed over to the next generation. Therefore, it is correct that some of the individuals who enjoy the privilege do not have any control of it happening but instead get themselves left with no choice.
