I am positive that teaching methods are essential as they help students and teachers acquire the ideal outcome in learning. The methods of teaching adopted facilitates on the level of understanding form the students. For Example, technology in education helps infuse digital skills to the learners and expand their experience in the use of modern technology. Some of the technology-infused learning methods may include the gamification of concepts. Children enjoy playing games; hence, motivating them to engage in the different challenges that enhance learning. For Example, Poly bridge game helps learners how to build bridges and the materials to use at different stages. Other technological learning methods include the use of multimedia in constructing video and images for learning, use of social media platform for class communication and sharing content. Finally, expeditionary learning allows students to conduct expeditions instead of learning one subject at a time. The students can incorporate a deeper understanding of materials. The four methods of learning are fun and engaging for the children as they adopt the technology.
Secondly, some methods in learning are useful for assessment of the children. One of the ways includes the use of literature circles where students come together and discuss pieces of literature in depth. Also, workshops enable students to share ideas with their partners on books and concepts. Hence, allowing for collaborative learning and assessment of work. Differentiation teaching is a process where students are allowed to pick their reading materials, reading aloud to the class and discussing together hence promoting idea-sharing. Teachers can also use kinesthetic learning, where students perform physical activities and demonstrations in learning. Flipped classroom and direct instructions are traditional methods that have been proven to work overtime. Children can be provided with materials to learn at home and assessments on their understanding conducted in the school in a flipped classroom technique, or materials are provided in class for reading and assessments conducted immediately in a direct instruction method. Various methods can be used alternatively with one another, depending on the complexity of concepts and the cognitive ability of the students.
