The Judgment of a Child Killer

Part 1

Children killers can be categorized as serial killers. It is because they tend to kill a massive number of people at different intervals. In most cases, various individuals who become serial killers have experienced various episodes in their lives that trigger them to do acts they do (Marono, Abbie Jean, et al. p.128). In most cases, their parents may have been neglected as children or even never experienced the kind of love they desire. As a result, they are compelled to kill a particular group of people as a way of making them feel satisfied. They always seem to find pleasure in their actions, making them continue murdering people.

In the child killer case from the movies, he should be locked up in an insane asylum because he is mentally ill. Various acts are not done when one is in their right sense of mind, and killing children, not one or two, but multiple, is one of those acts. They also develop some form of fantasy in their minds before conducting the act, making it easier to for them to perform the acts of murder. The ‘child killer’ seems to possess these kinds of characteristics, and he seems not to be in his right senses.

Locking him up in an insane asylum will be vital because it will help understand some of the problems they might be experiencing while growing up. It will also help provide a platform where he can deal with his past and make the various people understand some of the contributing forces towards his behavior. It is also important to note that, despite his actions, executing through corporal punishment is inhuman. It will make those giving the punishment be like him, murderers. It is only evident that the acts are particular evidence that he has a mental problem that can be addressed through the insane asylum where he will get the help he needs.

Part 2

In most cases, police have turned a blind eye to most of the criminal activities taking place in the community. It has made them unreliable because they do not seem to solve any of the problems faced by the members of the society. Due to this reason, people have resorted to handing the issues they have been facing in their way in the quest of reducing crimes within the various cities. It has resulted in reduced crime cases because people have applied some brutal means in dealing with the various offenders.

The Child killer being on the loose is a threat to the community members. There is no safety guarantee for the children as no one knows which child will be the next victim. Considering that the police have proved to be unreliable because of their slow response in the various criminal activities around and their show of lack of interest, it would be best if the neighbors take matters into their hands.

Through this method, there will be a fast response in catching the ‘child killer.’ It is in the sense that the neighbors seem to know each other and the different activities they might be involved in. Therefore, it will be easy for them to catch the ‘child killer’ and decide on the type of punishment that they deem fit. Neighbors taking matters into their hands will also help improve the security of the people within the community. It is because people will always be on the lookout for ensuring that such cases do not arise. The type and level of punishment given to the individual will help reduce or prevent any criminal activities within the community.
