The Greek Philosophy
Theologies have been developing and changing as the social and political trends of the world change, which echoes the development of monotheism and the influence between the involved religions of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Through various historical settings, these religions have changed tremendously. Going through the influence of the Greek culture and influential political times, these religions have adjusted to several practices, enabling both elevation and challenging phases. The nature of these religions is monotheistic. They share many similarities, from sentiments of the nature of worship to the references they have on their faiths’ historical development. They all can be traced to Genesis, Abraham’s faith concept, and several Old Testament stories such as the Tower of Babel.
Hellenism has been majorly influencing these religions through the influence that the Greek culture and lifestyle had on these religions. There were different sentiments of the Greek culture that were incorporated into these religions and their beliefs. As Hellenism took over places like Western Asia, Middle East, and Egypt, the more the Greek lifestyles and methods of study influenced the implementation of some of these faiths. An example is a trinity that has definitions derived from Greek philosophies (p. 63).
The Greek Philosophy was mainly established from the point of view, which incorporates the beliefs of gads, faith, spirituality, and more sentiments that, when applied to these three religions, interrelated with existent sentiments to develop advanced reference points for the religions. One of the major developments from this is the Septuagint Hebrew Bible translation from Biblical Hebrew and the Koine Greek translation from the Aramaic Greek, especially the Jewish version of the Koine Greek (p. 64). However, in the second century, the decline of Hellenism commenced, which can be attributed to the marginalization of its absorption into many religions and cultures.
The enlightenment changed the point of view of educated European classes on Jewish people in attribution to ambivalence. However, the enlightenment also pushed Jewish people to compromise their historical heritage and create a phase of challenges when it comes to inclusion (Pg. 71). During the Enlightenment and the reformation, many Christians were engulfed in the discovery of new worldly views. This aspect developed more perspectives of Christian views in relation to consistently developing trends globally, which, however, led to the development of Protestant diversity.
Conclusion
In the Christian calendar, the year 325 is mainly significant because of the meeting at Nicaea that led to the equation of the Holy Trinity members; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Subsequently, the Iranian leaders got banished from their churches in Heresy. This development has influenced the interrelations between the three major religions The Greek Philosophy Judaism, Islam, and Christianity (105). The concept of divine unity in the trinity is not similar to Christianity and Islam but more with Judaism. However, some specks in the Islam religion reflect God’s existence in the divine form of the Son, The Spirit, and God the Father. This is one of the main characteristics that bring these religions together to develop a monotheistic religious aspect. Despite the influential processes each religion has encountered over the years, most of the sentimental aspects of beliefs and worship expressed in these religions reflect similarities.
