In a proposal, there are two categories of objectives; the general objective, and the specific objective. A general objective is the one that is not achievable by an individual person or project. In a general objective, one just contributes towards achieving it. Specific objective, on the other hand refers to the particular part of the general objective the project addresses. The objectives are important since they help the donor to decide whether or not the project fits within the organization’s priorities, determine the clarity of the person doing the proposal, and establish whether or not the project is realistic and if so, they determine whether the project would have positive impact or not. Lastly, the backbone of any project funding proposal is the process/procedure to follow in working towards the goal. In this section, the person making the proposal needs to state the actions that will take place (what will be done), where the actions will take place, and how they will take place. In this section, one also mentions all the personnel involved in the process and how the evaluation of the project progress will take place. Most importantly, one also needs to clearly state all the required resources; this is the budget.
