Thank you, Rishi, for the encouraging comments. I understand your concerns about the review you are talking about. Please note that I was new to Upwork; that was my first client on this platform. My mistakes were that I did not set my milestones well to give me enough time to complete each task in time. Also, I was not signing in on Upwork more often to communicate with the client; therefore, he thought I had abandoned the project, which I had not. Anyway, I made sure I always submitted the work, and I do not think it was of poor quality. The client was a bit too harsh. I vowed it would never happen again.
I have since improved; from my profile, you can see that my last client gave me a five-star review and wrote, “Great job!”
I have other recommendations from clients outside Upwork regarding jobs undertaken by my company, SMK consult, which I will attach here. I will also attach the original word document of the project you are talking about, the Kangalita Irrigation Scheme (Rongai).
I will be able to travel to Sierra Leone for the job. However, I have to renew my passport; this will take less than a week. Also, I think it would be fair to factor in travel expenses in the contract to complete the project efficiently.
