Systems theory is not specifically a theory related to business (Hespanha, 2018). There are different types of systems; in Biology, that might mean the system ,cells or organs, and how they interact with their environment such as the human body (Rui et al., 2018), machines, particularly computers, physiochemical systems, psychic and social systems. In the years after 1940, Systems Theory was developed on the basis of suggestions from Biology as the ‘General System Theory’, physiology and Information theory (Coetzee et al., 2016) .
In business, a system theory of organization refers to the way a part of a company or organization may interact with the organization as a whole, or even with the market or industry (Jenson et al., 2016). In other way, the current use of system theory in business defines a potential way of explaining the workings of any enterprise or organization (Jenson et al., 2016). (Teece, 2018) explains that the system theory in business or the systems approach to management, is based on the idea that everything is interrelated and interdependent.
As with the system theory of organization, the theory can also be applied to computer system organization, considering the inputs, throughputs and outputs of an enterprise (Shafritz et al., 2015). Just in a company, those computer parts are interdependent and with the environment (Shafritz et al., 2015). In essence, in a system theory of organization, whether referring to a human organ, a business or even a computer, all the component parts must function in harmony (Shafritz et al., 2015).
2.3. Conceptual Framework
Conceptual framework is an analytical tool that contains many variations and contexts (Atanassova & Clark, 2015). Through it, there is ease of remembrance of a concept as it displays a certain study in a picture form hence one can easily capture the ideas being discussed (Atanassova & Clark, 2015). The reasons behind the need of a conceptual framework include its role in creating a structure that acts as a reference point when gaining understanding of a topic of discussion (Quinlan et al., 2019).
The framework further acts as an abstract for any given study and thus acts as a major guide to readers (Quinlan et al., 2019). Readers are also in a position to know the boundaries for any given study (Quinlan et al., 2019) and the complexity of work of study is also made simpler in the conceptual framework since, through its pictorial nature, one is able to remember concepts with ease (Quinlan et al., 2019).
