The customer’s lead time entails the time between a confirmed customer order and delivery based on the terms and conditions governing an organization. The paper explores how the reduction in lead time can help the supply chain reduce its inventory buffer without hurting customer’s services.

It can help by working with distributors to better deal with the bearer’s travel times. This will be important in decreasing the organization’s available stock.
