Social distancing and infection of COVID-19
The selected question related to the topic in the news is what the relationship between social distancing and infection of COVID-19 is? Some people have not taken the idea of social distancing seriously because they are not well informed on how individuals can be easily affected when they are in close contacts (Science Daily, 2020). The research question selected will promote understanding of how failure to practice social distancing can lead to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus.
My prior knowledge about social distancing and infection of the virus was that individuals are at high risk of getting the virus when they participate in social activities and events without practising social distancing or taking the other recommended precautions. Visiting places of worship, attending public events and using public means of transport increases the risks of being infected with the virus. Individuals should, therefore, be informed about the adverse effects of not practising social distancing (Science Daily, 2020).
