Salesforce vs. SAP
- How could you differentiate the two solutions? What criteria would you use?
Choosing the CRM software can be a bit challenging and one of Hercules’ impossible tasks. There are distinct features of both CRM products and which give them a comprehensive score. Each CRM is different, and when its platform scores better than the other, it doesn’t mean that the system works betters. It will work better for you. Both SAP and Salesforce are powerful CRMs. They come from big and mature companies that offer different CRM features like pipeline management, Saas, cloud access, and sales force automation (Evans, 2007). This will help the managers and the sales representatives to streamline the workflow and can be able to track their products hence improves sales processes. The main difference between the two solutions is what they offer. SAP CRM is that until last year and back the SAP CRM needed software to run the CRM while Salesforce is A SaaS-based CRM which doesn’t require any software and it recently moved into a could CRM space.
- Why would you buy one product over the other?
Both platforms are very similar, but I will choose Salesforce over SAP since it offers a more comprehensive and user-friendly knowledge base for its users. There has been a close contest between Salesforce and SAP CRM, but my analytics tell me I can always go for Salesforce since it performs better for more individual features. It does well with every company, but it is always to know the company’s requirements before researching for the CRMs.
- Is one technologically better? Can you tell? If so, how?
This is a generic question since it needs a long-term career and goals objectives since there are things that SAP is really good in where then the Salesforce. Here are also things that Salesforce is good in and not the SAP (Janakova, 2019). So this means not every path is meant for everyone, and those who need memory technology or the business planning or the ERP thing can go for the SAP. The ones who want the cloud computing thing can go for Salesforce. This is to say that every technology has a bad and a good side, and before choosing any technology, you better choose the area of interest. There is a need to break the bod of the old tradition where one chooses a technology because of its salary and try to put the career choice first, and then from there, they can allow the technology to follow.
- Which one will be harder and/or easier to integrate within your company? What criteria would you use?
Salesforce uses different fields to track customer emails from the email app, and the companies can automatically capture customer interaction through email campaigns. They use such interactions to make future nurturing on account, opportunity, and contact (Narayandas, 2018). SAP has the same features, which can track emails basing on how those emails are opened, used, and led to the site views. For the email utilities to use in the company, I will go for the Salesforce rates than the SAP. To gain popularity, I will venture into business intelligence, where I will need Salesforce for the business software. This is because it will utilize the powerful BI platform, which will integrate seamlessly, and Salesforce offers users with an overall more robust model. The Salesforce is better than the SAP to be used in the BI.
