Reflection on Fats Scorecard
The fats scorecard is very engaging and has provided a wide range of parameters to evaluate fats’ healthy habits. It is well designed and simplified to avoid any ambiguity. I filled the scorecard and got a score of 87, which is not too bad, but there is room for improvement. I consider this score to be fairly accurate in defining my habits. I have not been conscious of how I consume fats, and this scorecard has been a true revelation. For instance, I have never thought of cutting off or draining fat from meat. I also do not read food labels when buying food items, which means I rarely balance the fats content between breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nevertheless, I try to limit the fats I consume because I know too much fat is not healthy for my body.
Given that my score reflects my true habits, I feel it would be nice to pay closer attention to my health. I promise myself to improve on the various factors that would make my habits healthier. One vital aspect would be to keep a strict record of the fats I consume every day and limit the total amount to a low value. I will also start choosing specific foods such as salmon and avocados that contain healthy fats. Another vital aspect would be maintaining a strict schedule concerning physical activities such as walking, running, and swimming to maintain a healthy body and fitness.
The importance of having a healthy body cannot be overemphasized. It can be argued that good health is the greatest wealth, and the absence of good health in itself is poverty. I must be aware of how fat can negatively impact my overall health at present and in the future. Excessive fat could lead to chronic heart diseases and other dangerous ailments during the later stages of life. It is crucial to be aware of health importance and take deliberate steps towards maintaining good health for a more productive and happy life.
