The writer’s approach to life and other aspects of life are quite shocking in the way they are presented, yet very realistic in the ideas that the writer is trying to pass across. He talks about intensifying his life, by becoming a new person through the violent scattering of the older flesh across the whole planet and offering birds hi liver to peck on. The visualization of such a sight is disturbing. He goes on to express his unease of the limitations placed on him by the society, such as race, sex and other personal aspects of his life. He thus compares himself with a pirate, who has no specific nationality, just a free being exploring unknown waters. It is disheartening how he views the truth as a ridiculous and disrespectable fact. However, he is quick to point out how one’s failures are part of one’s path to success.
