Poverty refers to the lack of adequate resources by individuals to meet the basic needs of life, such as food, shelter, clothing, transportation, healthcare, and education. Poverty looks like an extreme lack of necessities by individuals or difficulty gaining some basic needs due to immense financial restrictions. The most affected individuals in poverty in the USA are the children, few working-age adults, and some seniors. Numerous actions of human beings can overcome poverty since it is not a natural thing.
Individuals are callous as individuals and as a nation in terms of their relationship with the poor. The proportion of Americans living in poverty is continuously increasing despite the immense economic boom to resolve it. As such, the nation and its citizens have become cruel and insensitive concerning their relationship with the poor. There are several causes of poverty, which include unemployment. Children being raised by single parents and a decrease in productivity of goods and services in the state. The vast villain is the decrease in wages usually adjusted for inflation by the lower-paid workers. The government did not cause these challenges, though it offers an aiding hand by assisting the victims involved. However, the American state pulled back on the employment benefits and warfare, leaving more persons to suffer in poverty, especially the children.
Poverty can be addressed today by coming up with a sustainable approach that effectively handles the underlying causes of poverty. Poverty can be solved by supporting individuals to gain knowledge, capabilities, and skills crucial in finding a job and effectively progress while in line of duty. The creation of more job opportunities offers individuals a living wage with immense job opportunities and security-relevant to effective progression.
