Passion for Aeronautics and Technology
First, let me express my most sincere gratitude for this unique opportunity to share with you information that is not openly available in my academic record or any other place. Since I understand the significance of education in laying the foundation for a prosperous future, I wish to express my intention to pursue a degree in Aeronautics and Technology at Vaughn College in line with your vision and excellence motto.
As a child, I often stared at the planes in the sky. For me, they were some mystical machines. I always wondered how they could reach such a high altitude. Out of curiosity, I one day asked my father about the mysterious machines often flying over our house. To avoid convolution, he simply answered back that they were like gigantic flying buses. I was more than awed. My second question to my father was, “How do these gigantic buses fly”? Indeed, his answer did not make much sense because all that I pictured in my mind was a big bus flapping its wings in the air to stay afloat. Nonetheless, this was the trigger for my passion for airplanes and space shuttles.
At that time, little did I know that the human-made “birds” of the 21st century moving through air and made of huge lumps of heavy metals result from a dream that was inspired by seagulls? At the age of 13, my father took me to an air show, where I watched aircraft fly unrestricted and at an incredible speed. There was so much I wished I could have said to appreciate my father, yet somehow how I was lost for words in the middle of exhilaration. This incident greatly fuelled my curiosity and desire to study aeronautics. The fascination and amazement also stirred a new dream in me. As aeronautical technology advances daily, my interest and passion also run deeper.
I strongly feel that I have the required aptitude and passion for Aeronautics and Technology. They say you paint your future at a very young age as you find yourself drawn to a particular thing. Growing up, I have had an enormous curiosity about how things around me work. I not only enjoy reading about how machines work, but I find it rewarding to dismantle some objects and personally explore how they function. By dismantling and disassembling machines and equipment, I have learned a great deal about basic engineering’s practical aspects. To this end, this fire burns deep within my soul, coupled with the hunger to prove myself and be worthy of being amongst the greatest legends in the field of Aeronautics and Technology. This is why I took the initiative to pursue independent courses in Engineering Mechanics, Steam Boilers and Engines, Engineering Materials, Artificial Intelligence, Automobile Engineering, IC Engines, and Nuclear Power Plants, Theory of Machines, and Computer Science.
I am confident that this degree will allow me to achieve my individual and professional goals. I am also more than convinced that this undergraduate degree in Aeronautics and Technology from Vaughn College will enable me to be prosperous in the aeronautical profession in numerous ways. First, it will prime me for a career with any of the world’s top aerospace companies. Secondly, a degree from the highly-rated Vaughn’s College Aeronautics and Technology program will guarantee my smooth transition into the professional world and enable me to make substantial contributions to the aeronautical field when I am hired. Lastly, if I decide to pursue an advanced Aeronautical Engineering degree, this undergraduate degree will equip me with the appropriate academic credentials necessary for graduate school admission.
Overall, I can say that hard work, creativity, and determination are a few of the attributes that define me. Since I began my educational journey, I have been an excellent but balanced student. I have strived to maintain an outstanding academic record while participating in various co-curricular activities in my school. I believe that my passion for aeronautics, coupled with my academic rigor, life experiences, and engineering skills, makes me the right pick for a Aeronautics and Technology degree at Vaughn College.
