MID PLACEMENT REPORT

- Describe the background of the agency and the role within that context
Here, I can say that the agency is a non-profit organization in Australia. The agency mainly deals with women who are suffering from homelessness. Apart from that, the agency also supports the patient with mental health, drug, and alcohol-related issues. It can be stated that the agency is a support system that stands for social and psychological problems of society. On the other hand, my role refers to serve as a case manager. It includes supporting and assisting people with their problems. Here, it includes welcoming clients and balancing the work schedule of the agency. It also refers to answering phone calls in favor of the agency as well. Apart from them, I also manage victim women who are in domestic violence. I conduct a personal interaction with them. It helps the agency to understand their situation and their needs as well.
Further, it includes the general running of the agency. Therefore, it can be stated that my roles provide standard operations and decision making a person to support the agency. Moreover, I also support people aged and disability projects. It includes serving foods to old age people. It helps them to manage to get their basic needs in life.
- Discussion on the progress of learning that includes the tasks performed by a student to implement goals
In order to conduct progressive education, it must consist of certain things, such as:
Values and ethics
From my understandings, it is essential to have values and ethics in life. It helps an individual to concentrate on its practice. Here, the duty includes supporting aged people, which creates a duty to care (aasw.asn.au, 2020). Therefore, ethics and values help an individual to practice responsibility without negligence.
Professionalism
It refers to manage a continuous practice towards duty and responsibility. Moreover, I feel that it creates respect and a positive attitude, as well. I can say that it provides a generosity to work for society.
Culturally responsive
It is an essential factor for me to avoid discrimination among people. It helps me concentrate on my responsibilities. It also creates a personality that allows me to understand each problem of victims. It helps to build a relationship and better progress of job responsibilities.
Knowledge and communication
As a social worker, I need to have adequate knowledge regarding the problem. It helps me to understand the psychosocial situation of the victim. As a result, it becomes easier to serve better. However, communication also deals with a vital part that makes the opposite person comfortable with his problem.
- Discussion on the examples of connecting theory, policy, and practice
The concept of connecting theory is an application of the practical theory of learning, which refers to use knowledge and experience in the traditional learning approach of the study (Jenset, Hammerness & Klette, 2018). From my understandings, the connecting theory provides an equilibrium between global and local spheres. Therefore, it becomes easier for a social worker to use his experience in all communities. As an example, I can say that connecting depends on individual needs. Therefore, understanding the needs of a woman who is a victim of domestic violence needs a particular treatment. It can be stated that the treatment can include the learning of feminism theory that helps her to make stronger. Apart from that, it also creates a positive mental approach on victims. Therefore, it develops their mental health. As a result, the process of using interpersonal skills helps to manage connecting theory to support people.
- Identification of the student areas to strengths
From my experience, it can be stated that my muscles are to have ethics and values. It provides a professional responsibility to do the welfare of society. In this process, I involve motivating victims of domestic violence. It creates an approach to communication and listening ability of an individual. Apart from that, it also makes an emotional attachment with such victims. It makes myself to be humble and maintain a down to earth personality. Therefore, it becomes easier for me to serve them. On the other hand, the agency also works for old age people. Here, the agency provides food and essential supports for their daily routines. It helps them to continue with their basic needs. As a result, it develops a self-awareness to support old age people. Apart from that, the agency also conducts arts and crafts practice. However, such an approach creates an ambiance of creativity within myself. It develops a new process of learning. It feels me fresh. Moreover, it provides a method of learning.
- Description of the areas on which to focus learning in the second half of the placement and also describe the practical ways of learning
Here, the organization mostly concentrates on women and old age people. On the other hand, they have also conducted a project on the people affected by drugs and alcohol. It is my personal opinion that the agency can provide basic child learning. It delivers strong roots and ethics for students. As a result, it creates a process to have healthy and principles and ethics in their life. It helps them to support old age people and victim women. Apart from that, I can say that the agency needs to have a cultural education. It allows social workers to spread their knowledge and accumulate citizens of their country. I also hope that such learning should be appreciable among its citizens. Moreover, it also helps the organization to get a high number of members to support people. Another thing is that the agency is only focused on supporting people. From my experience, the agency needs to get more focus on its marketing. It helps them acquire sponsors. Therefore, it becomes easier for them to execute mental health and art craft programs properly.
- Discussion on the modification of the learning plan and justify the reasons
From my understanding, the modification process refers to a systematic method for learning, whereas I do not have a systematic process of learning. In this case, I can say that the modification plan refers to have regular learning on the development of victims. However, I can say that it is essential to understand the needs of the victims. For example, a woman suffering from domestic violence should have the legal right to fight against it. Therefore, the agency must ensure legal rights and financial assurance. It helps them to get her due. Therefore, we used to provide such adequate supports like legal and economic support to such victims. Apart from that, I mainly concentrate on getting economic support to run the agency. Here, it needs to have a proper marketing approach to take permission from clients. It is my personal opinion that the modification process needs to focus on the marketing approach to run the organization properly.
- Discussion on the openness of learning, attitude on placement, and process of professional development
It has been discussed earlier that I did not have a systematic approach of learning. Therefore, the openness and professional development on learning mainly depends upon the working process. However, it provides experience and knowledge to handle different situations. As a result, I can able to manage my sincerity. However, communication with victims and sub-ordinates helps me a lot. Therefore, it becomes easier for me to develop my openness. On the other hand, I also serve as a case manager and also handle separate phone calls. Consequently, I used to have adequate knowledge of our working process and progress. It creates a positive impact on attitude to support6 people and professional development as well. On the other hand, I also under the supervision of the supervisor. However, he supports staying conscious of my responsibilities and loves my duties. I can say that the development of the transferable skills helps me maintain focus on learning and placement.
- Reflection on the process to elaborate yourself as a team worker that includes personal professional, and ethical challenges
It is my personal opinion that a leader needs to understand the team members. First of all, this agency has separate responsibilities, so the leader uses adequate knowledge of the working process. Moreover, it is also an essential factor to understand the psychology of team mates. Therefore, I used to reflect both rigid and flexible as per the psychological requirements of my colleagues. Apart from that, the working process needs to have different working responsibilities in the same time. Therefore, time is the main factor. On such occasions, I have to make a balance the workload as per schedule. I think it creates an additional workload on my mates.
- Discussion the comment on the pattern and process of supervision received and also include ways in which supervision has facilitated your learning and any changes made in the second half of the placement
It is very important to have a better working relationship in the work process. I can say that I have a good relationship with my supervisor. It helps me a lot to do continuous progress and development in my working responsibilities. Apart from that, I also concentrate on a systematic process of learning and develop the agency. I can also add that I also develop monitoring expenses and operations. Therefore, it reflects the proper execution of the working process.
