Meet Mr. James Dondero: The co-founder of Highland Capital, Management
James Dondero commonly referred to as Jim, earned his highest grades and honors from the University of Virginia. Records show that Mr. James received dual majors in finance and accounting. To be specific, he was awarded a certificate in CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant), and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). The subsequent academic achievements are an additional benefit to any employer who is lucky enough to hire him. He also possesses outstanding communication skills, politeness, and courtesy, not forgetting that leadership is part of him.
His outstanding skills and education earned him favors and the face of various organizations. One time, James became the chairman of Next Point Residential Trust and NexBank Capital, Inc. For over 30 years, he has been the senior supervisor of all business activities running at Highland Capital Management, and while under his care, the investments progressed rapidly. For instance, during the creation of the GIC subsidiary, Mr. James Dondero helped a chief investor make a huge profit of up to 2 billion in just four years. Between 1985 and 1989, he was a portfolio manager, bond analyst, and a participant in a training program organized by J.P. Morgan.
As a dedicated philanthropist, Mr. James Dondero often supports various education activities, including business programs and public policies. Being one of Southern Methodist University members, he initiates the Co school of the business board and the presidential center execrative advisory council founded by the late former president of America, George Bush.
