Introduction
Lorenzo Nichols was born in Birmingham. In his early years, he lived in Alabama, where his biological grandmother raised him. At an average age of about ten years, Nicholas relocated to Queens, New York, to live with his mother, Louisa, and father. He is a famous and top-ranked lord in drug dealing in New York City. He is renowned for leading a crew of gangsters and drug dealers in Queens, in New York. The team he showed was a composite of his close family members and relatives. He is responsible for several criminal activities such as the murder of parole, his former officer, and the murder of his girlfriend. Currently, he is serving a correction period at a facility in New York City.

Nichols initiated his leadership in a dangerous crew after dropping out of school before getting to grade nine. He gained membership in a gang group known as Seven Crown Street; he has also committed a robbery in two prominent places in another adolescent man’s company. Later he was convicted for the criminal activities committed and jailed for, but he was declared released after serving a two-year sentence. After his release, he shifted to drug dealing activities, which were earning a more significant profit. He acquired membership from mafia connections. During this period, the mafias had controlled many drug dealing trade activities in the Eastern part of the Coast. Later, Nichols developed a group responsible for working on street projects in housing in the southeastern region in Queens. Besides, he also involved himself in the drug trade and other criminal activities within the area.
Members of his crew were composite of his family members and relatives. They included his mother and his younger sisters. He was also hooked up to Howard Mason, who was his friend from the prison. After a successful raid on Mac Deli, Nichols was arrested and taken back to jail (Brown, 2013). He was found with two guns in his pockets. When a thorough search was conducted, different quantities of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana were confiscated. He was charged with possession of firearms and being in illegal trade; drug trade. He was jailed by later managed to leave on bail. He was later arrested by his officer, parole on claims of rebelling his parole.
With the anger of getting back to jail, Nichols ordered his close association to kill Rooney. Nichols was indicted on accusations of committing the second power murder of Rooney. Later in his court trial, he insisted that he never aimed at killing Rooney. Additionally, he is accused of killing his girlfriend. Myrtle, after she took his money gained from running operations in drugs and spent it with someone else. Therefore, Nichols has been involved in murders, killing, drug dealing, and other criminal activities.
Impact of the Criminal Life of Nichols
The criminal life lived by Nichols impacted the people of Jamaica negatively. Due to his increased drug trading, he ruined the people’s culture by selling drugs s, which led to a ruined generation. The consumption of readily available drugs leads to an increase in the crime rate, murder, and drug trafficking become the norm in the city. Second, his frequent killings lead to poor living conditions for the deceased’s family, where many people survived for a living. On the other side, his criminal activities where he involved Queens lead to widespread illegal activities in the community. The young boys and girls dropped out of schools due to drugs and involved themselves in criminal activities or drug crews. The increased drug dealing in the city led to the erosion of Jamaica’s culture and promoted illegal activities.
The community in Jamaica acquired the impact of the criminal activities of Nichols. The organization had their culture eroded; this was brought about by people’s involvement in drug dealing and assassination, aimless killings, and murder. As a result, people acquired a new culture of drug trafficking, drug use, and killing people become a norm in the community. Second, the city grieved and bore raising children and families whose members were murdered by the criminals. The organization acquired a new responsibility of taking care of young children and young mothers who were left after murdered.
Nichols should not be paroled. The criminal activities he has conducted and the danger he posed to Jamaica’s community is increased and, therefore, he should remain in custody and serve his sentence. When Nichols is retained in jail, the other individuals committing similar activities will reduce their intensity since they fear being arrested and sentenced to death. Additionally, Nichols made very many families live with grief, either from the murder of their loved ones or misleading their people into drug dealing. It would be unjust to the families affected to have Nichols parole. As Nichols, criminals should be retained in jail as a lesson to the community and execution of justice to the families involved. Additionally, not all prisoners change when serving a jail term; some remain unchanged or even become worse than when arrested. Nichols could be worse than he was, the anger of being detained, and aims at revenge, which will create more harm and danger to the community than before.
Conclusion
Lorenzo Nichols is famous for being involved in drug dealing and numerous cases of murder. He has been arrested and jailed, after which he is declared released. He had established a crew composed of many family members who included his mother and sister. Nichols’s life in crime has harmed society and the community in Jamaica. His criminal life led to the erosion of culture and introduced a drug dealing and mass killing culture. Nichols should not parole; he should be executed to life sentence as a lesson to other criminals in society.
