Learning style summary

The aural strategy is my chosen style of learning. In this learning preference, an individual learns a lot via the information delivered verbally or through the information they hear. Due to this fact, skills of listening are a vital element of this strategy of learning. My preference as an individual using an aural learning strategy is an oral discussion concerning matters in order to better internalize them (Desy & Wolanskyj, 2017). It is equally my preference to give explanations through word of mouth so that the points delivered are put across regardless of whether I am in support or against ideas. Through this, learning other people’s ideas becomes easier and also their perspective concerning my opinions through immediate response. Having this learning strategy, listening to other people is always better since they know details that I don’t and the people having authority. This assists to expound my perspective since my contributions equally make the discussion complete.

Learning strategies preferred

For an individual to properly learn, it is essential that the best styles for the learning preference be understood. Among the most significant learning styles is via group discussions. They offer a platform where individuals voice their points of view in a verbal manner and receive feedback from the remaining members of the group in support or becoming against it. As the group discussions are ongoing, I am capable of listening to other people’s opinions as a chance is equally given to me to talk about my opinions (Desy & Wolanskyj, 2017). The next strategy is making use of podcasts during the process of learning of particular topics. This style is essential as I am able to understand information that is spoken a lot better. I equally get to know other verbal cues like the tonal variation that assist in better understanding of the information. It is equally vital that short notes are made on the ideas that have been learned for the sake of future reference and reading aloud the notes that have been summarized.

Students bear different styles of learning from reading, writing, visual, and aural to kinesthetic studying. This has an effect on the abilities of an individual to perform or understand the facilities of education. This occurs due to two major reasons. The first reason is that the moment the learning strategy preferred is applied, the person is capable of understanding the information easier and in a better way (Chen & Xu, 2018). This assists in the memory store of the information the moment they require the information. The person may not know their preferred strategies of learning; however, an individual will find that they remember some information than others. As time goes by, they start to discover a trend where the information that is memorable was needed. Secondly, styles of learning give students some encouragement to conduct educational programs. Learners bear some learning strategies preferred, which they find enjoyable than others. Therefore, they will prefer to undertake educational programs that use these strategies.

Educators know that students have various styles of learning, but the problem comes I attending to each and everyone within the learning environment. The scholars learn in distinct ways in accordance with the teaching methods applied, and as such, it is vital for the teacher to recognize the individual styles of learning when working with students. A teacher who uses this technique is a good position that assists students at a personal level (Chen & Xu, 2018). Through this, the teacher utilizes the techniques preferred by a student. Getting to understand personal preferences of learning also results in making sure that the teacher utilizes various styles of teaching to explain ideas. This will confirm that distinct preferences of learning are taken care of, and every learner will bear a proper grasp of the idea.

Styles of learning in the promotion of health.

Strategies of learning are not just essentials in the school context but equally important in the promotion of health. Here, the information is channeled from the educators of health to the community so that a change in behavior can be achieved (Akhlaghi & Akhlaghi, 2018). Accomplishing the required outcome needs that distinct styles of learning are taken into consideration in medical education. This will, therefore, lead to applying various strategies of teaching to manage different preferences of learning in the target population.

This, therefore, bears the effect of bringing a change in behavior in two main ways. The first way is that the distinct styles of learning will motivate the participation of clients or the community under the education process. Through the participation of this kind, there will be an influence on their behavior so that it can change. This is a slow procedure that could take more time than the time used during the teaching process. Secondly, the adjustment of mindset influences behavior change (Akhlaghi & Akhlaghi, 2018). This is later impacted by the information an individual store during the process of teaching. As a result, the moment a teaching strategy is applied that coincides with an individual’s studying preference, then a lot of information will be stored; hence behavior change will be accomplished.

As such, it is essential that the various learning strategies in health promotion be accommodated. To accomplish this, a technique is established that utilizes different techniques of teaching that satisfy the preferences of learning (Akhlaghi & Akhlaghi, 2018). For example, in the promotion of health, it is vital that visual aids like charts, pictures, and maps are used. Auditory styles like involving individuals in a discussion of the topic at hand and the strategies of kinesthetic like assisting them in dramatizing or drawing the concepts are also used. This will affirm that the distinct groups are sufficiently covered, and the promotion of health goals will be achieved more quickly.
