Leadership is a specific art one is guaranteed to motivate an organization or a group of people to achieve a common goal. Direction applies to all life events, It is just a matter of hierarchy. They are beginning from schools, hospitals, and businesses. Leadership is an institution just like ant another life position with several dilemmas. In our case, school leadership is affected by various factors, with several difficulties affecting the leadership system. Most principals have a problem selecting between courses of action, eliciting lesser or greater extent broadly exclusive. The significant dilemmas selected were dismissal or development. This is when a teacher teaches badly and has no history from the artwork and staff development activities developing participation. The subcontracting dilemma in mediation, bringing principals position caught between two imperative set changes, is internal and external factors. In this case, the external imperatives driving for a change forced by central government agencies and internal contractive, including school-based complex mixture factors. The leadership tension happens when principals cannot conquer and justify changes that are imposed externally to their needs. The mediator enables the principal’s space to inspect changes imposed externally, while the subordinator, on the other side, implies the loss of control.

The primary two leadership concept used is collective leadership and transformative leadership. One of the common mistakes parents believe that leadership is an individual activity, and thus leadership management should take part in everything (jones, 2016). I most cases, institutions proud people are familiar, extensively because it has been an individual proclaiming norm to individuals as leaders basing on their position and scale payment, not directly to the function they perform or their capability. A true collective philosophy requires knowledge, skills, and results being affected by the full leadership team. In such a group, if one loses, then the entire team would have lost. Authentic leadership takes place when several capable and whose complementary competencies are excellent, sharing high values character and standard and centrally holding around compelling vision and purpose. The combined effort provides direction among company people and develops to success. In Episode One, ‘The book of statuses’ collective is not taken by all parents positively. Only the white parents take part in this and are distinguished as good white parents (Gilbey, 2020). In this episode, there is a change taking place in the institution driven by the white parents; this is because of their inner passion for making the parents succeed and not like the black parents who rely on school administration. We are told ‘it is 2015, one Brooklyn middle school is about to receive a huge influx of new students’. In this first episode Chana Joffe-wait, who is the reporter, keenly interrogates what occurs in a sixth-grade school of international studies, increasing from 30 to 103. This positive influx is driven mostly by white families.

Transformative leadership is leadership where the leader works with the team, but it is upon the staff to identify the leadership aspect and change. The leader creates a guiding vision that brings change through inspiration and extracts the difference with committed members of the group. The way one group acts and influences some followers brings transformational leadership into the scheme (Dugan, 2018). Transformational leadership improves motivation, morale, and the job performance of their counterparts in various forms. These involve relating personal identity sense of identity and personalizing to a project and the collective organizational identity and individual and joint activity. This collaborative approach is not well adhered to in Episode one ‘The book of statuses’ American public schools does not offer an equal public education.’ Two decades of school reform initiatives have not changed that’ this is a clear indication of how the parents who are part of leaders in this category did not make good of transformative leadership. The blame rings to the black parents who should have copied this important leadership aspect, which is a crucial threat to leadership tension.

Considering this state, I recommend that parents and all leaders have a clear vision, knowing where the organization is heading. I would also encourage that leaders be result-focused and ready to cope with environmental factors coming on the way and not rely on one leadership scheme to provide everything. I would desire to see a leadership program in which all the people and leading sides cooperate in achieving a common goal. Also would wish to see a changing leadership skill in which the self-centered and the focused influences those who are not focused. In this case, the two major behavioral theories in our appreciation are the behavioral theory, where the white behavior in achieving student’s good results is stated, and situational theory. The parents work hard to keep their students’ results reasonable during a situation the government doesn’t support.

Critical readings drawn are; in the crucible of leadership, what makes a great leader is explained; also, we can know instinctively how employees are inspired. We learn that the most critical signs of leadership are learned through negative experiences. Dugan talks of leadership theory; it infuses a crucial perspective in a reasonable manner guiding readers through complex progressive ways in which idea is easily deconstructed, improving activities and social justices that are advanced. Goleman talks of the emotional intelligence of leaders with a clear difference between rational and emotional intelligence. Both are important to succeeding. He also highlights the importance of regulating emotions when ruling. He also shows variations in the leader’s capacity through this scholar, and we learn that however varying the IQ is the leading application fits in.
