Human security
Human security is an approach that has been proven analytically, empirically, and a planning framework that helps more inclusive and precautionary responses by the United Nations. Human security cuts all across measures taken by the United Nations that is coming up with background relevant solutions and developing relationships with either other multi-national organizations or states in order to promote a world of freedom, open from fear and humiliation.
It is the most applicable and genuine approach from its manifestation that can help the world to be in peace. Due to the fact that it is using this approach, it is easier to bring states together, then I suggest that it is important for creating a peaceful world (Paris 80). It is important because it understands the most vulnerabilities in the world. Its proposals challenge the notions and ways of national security that use the power of the military to maintain order. Human security suggests the best way to maintain a peaceful world is to understand the ways of human nature rather than the national stage.
In supporting the concept of human security, United Nations that it is the very best option to maintain a peaceful world it provided those ways that interfere with the world security, and they concern the issues to do with human security. The first one is economic security; this issue does not require military intervention to maintain its stability. If human beings are well paid in their jobs and provided a good working environment, the issues of theft and robbing each other will cease. In that, the united nation encourages both the developing and developed nations to consider such issues in order to maintain world peace.
Another form of maintaining world peace using human security is by observing the issue of food security. Food security means that all human beings are able to get all the basic needs, that is, food, shelter, and clothing. When the world has productive economic security, that is, they are well paid and also well looked upon in terms of job areas, they will be able to afford all this. United Nations suggests instead of using the military intervention or the national security approach; it is good to consider such things in human security. It will help curb any threats to security and promote a peaceful world.
Another issue that the united nation suggests that makes human security the best option to maintain world peace is all the states in the world to maintain or curb health security. By providing better health care to human beings without promoting inequality, it will help to maintain world peace; this is because the human being is healthy and inequality in the health sector is not practiced then the rise of any war in terms of civil one is controlled hence world peace is maintained.
By maintaining environmental security, the world protects human beings from being exposed to ravages. In most of the developing states, one of their major issues is lack of clean water; hence this poses a threat to the life of that individual hence; when the developing nations strive to provide clean water to its citizen, it prevents national insecurity because there is the availability of environmental security.
In order to have a peaceful world, human beings are supposed to be provided with security; thus, no harm is exposed to them. It is known as personal security; in this, when all individuals are secured, then the world will be in peace; hence, there is no risk of conflicts that may lead to the world’s rising of insecurity. It seems a simple program, but this is among the causes of instability in terms of peace in the world today. This isn’t an issue that requires a national security approach. Hence making the human security approach the best way to maintain a peaceful world.
Political security is another way to promote a peaceful world, and to maintain this one requires a human security approach. This is where people’s concern is about living their rights; political security is about the concern of human rights, that is, whether the community is treated well and there is no violation of human rights, injustice, and oppression.
Role of human security in maintaining a peaceful world
Human security is attached to protecting and promoting individuals’ vital freedoms. It is involved in protecting people from dangerous threats. At the same time, human security is important in empowering individuals about their own rights; it also helps the individuals take charge of their own lives. In this case, protection means those laws, norms, and rules that help to protect individuals (Gary et al. 603). These policies include the rule of law and democratic laws; hence they help maintain a peaceful world.
Human security does not pursue to displace state security, but relatively to accompaniment it. All nations have the mandate to maintain and providing security to its citizen. Thus most of the state fails to provide security to its citizen, and in most cases, they are the source of conflicts to its citizens. It is very clear that states can’t survive when the security of their citizens it’s at stake, and it is also clear that individuals can’t be in peace when there is a lot of political wrangles. So it is the work of human security to ensure that all these are balanced accordingly in order to prevent a world without peace.
Human security also provides a cross-linkage between issues human beings are facing, such as human right violation with national and international insecurities. This is a way of controlling mysteries such as genocides that have happened in many countries, such as in Africa Rwanda. Therefore in promoting the world’s peace human security approach can be used.
At some points, in order to maintain world peace, it is good to start with the cause. The main cause of wrangles in the world is human beings; they are the main reason why the world is at war all the time. If human beings are taken care of, then the world will be in peace; therefore, the human security approach is the best in helping such a matter. That is dealing with the root or the main cause of the war (Iqbal, 641). And by ensuring this will not happen, the human security approach maintains or tries to promote its ways such as economic security, health security, and political security. Hence it is the best approach to tackle or promote world peace.
Due to its character of expansion of thinking, it helps in promoting world peace; this is because human beings come to understand their right to perform or practice anything and also their freedom. The state ceases to perfume injustice to human beings; this is mainly because citizens understand their freedom, and also, they are able to question the state about their rights or try to go against the state’s actions that involve oppression. Hence human security is the most convenient approach to promote a peaceful world.
As noted earlier, human beings are the main keys or cause of insecurities in this world. So a shift from the state to a human being is the most important thing this is because even the states are controlled by human beings. The fact that the national security approach is placing its concern for the state as the main theme that can promote the world’s peace is wrong. So the approach of human security is the closest to make such progress, the main reason being humans are the main cause of instability in this world, so if the shift is directed to humans, then it will be easy to promote world peace.
By providing essential products to human, it will promote peace in the world. Such essential things include basic needs and something such as health security. Due to search services human beings develop fewer conflicts or even more then there will be no need to fight or cause problems hence the world will be in peace making the approach of human security better in making the world to be in peace
Things such as the holding of small weapons are among the bigger threats that lead to insecurities in the world we are living in today (Brauch, 83). Therefore, the national security approach, if applied to take back the small weapons it may cause a rise of political fights, genocide, or killing of people; hence the world will not be in peace. Hence if the approach of human security is applied, which does not apply force in maintain peace or trying to prevent it. A human being will submit their weapons because the human security approach is more of using knowledge to curb a situation.

The human security approach is a method that leaves the concentration of the state as the main contributor to security in the world. The human security approach believes in placing human beings as the main cause of both security and insecurity in the world after this organization such as United Nations came up with some of the insecurity that makes human beings to cause wrangles.
