Technology change has greatly impacted human resource management in many organizations. These changes are accompanied by changes in such a company’s operations as there is a need for a new way of doing things. (Daft, R. L. (2020). For instance, covid19 pandemic has greatly changed many companies. It has led to the adoption of new technologies to enhance communication; for example, in my company, the company has adopted virtual communication as the primary mode of communication most employees are working remotely. With people being far apart, a means of communication is prudent to ensure that information flows freely. A virtual remote connection has been developed with enhanced technology. It has enabled individuals to communicate irrespective of the difference in the location of these people. In the business world, the transmission has been upgraded with different technological innovations and unavoidable situations that make one meeting difficult. Some of the greatest challenges with the adoption of the virtual communication strategies are; members are in different geographical locations, concentration span of various individuals differs and increased distractions in virtual communication enhance this challenge, expertise, and knowledge is prudent in this new technology and more so increased resources to enhance the new technology.
Nevertheless, the management has significantly handled these challenges and enhanced operations in the company. (Newman, S. A., Ford, R. C., & Marshall, G. W. (2020). Considerations of different timelines due to geographical differences have been enhanced to ensure all employees are reached. Also, basic training for employees on how and when to use the new technology has been enhanced. The management has also ensured that the necessary resources are available to the company to ensure the new technology does not affect its outputs.
