How do I manage my time?
This essay reflects on how one needs to manage their time as a skill and peer to peer learning as the preferred learning activity. Time management is a resource that, when it is misplaced, it usually is gone forever (Kerzner, 2017). Time management is an issue in our society today, as most of the peers cannot control the limited time they have properly. I discussed time management with my peers as we used examples of formal learning activities like closing our eyes and opening them after 30 seconds to help understand the concept. Having a to-do list is a time-saver because it makes one motivated. Starting the day with the essential tasks also helps things get done in less time as many problems can be avoided.
Staying focused helps in tracking the progress of the day. The process of poor time management can lead to getting late when running the daily errands. While discussing with my peers, we agreed on all the possible ways to keep us on toes from that day onwards to get some leisure time because it makes one feel energized and ready for the next day.
When looking at informal learning activities, how to manage time happens in the daily activities that we engage in. Through learning with my peers, I was able to get different perceptions from different people on the benefits of proper time management. Parkinson’s law theory has confirmed that, in managing our time well, one needs to squeeze daily activities to achieve what is needed (Izmailov, 2016).
