Healthcare Issues: Politicians, Covid-19, and Biden’s New Health Legislation
There are a number of interest groups with different interests regarding President-elect, Joe Biden’s plans for imposing statewide mask mandates. First, the article reveals that president-elect is already facing opposition regarding issues of health care legislation from different politicians (governors.) It is reported that Biden’s mask order plan slams into a red wall as 16 GOP governors Joe Biden’s masking requirement and the have all publicly declared that they are not in support of his new health legislation. Other anti-mandate such as governors from South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Nebraska tend to differ as they argue that wearing a mask is a personal choice. Additionally, as a politician and a new president-elect, Joe Biden believes that resistance group’s view that masks are political symbols is flawed, as he suggests that wearing masks will be a new way of unifying the country.

In this regard, health remains a hot topic in America. Conclusively, the article suggests that the record-breaking covid-19 surge is driven by casual occasions such as dinner parties and game nights. As such, Biden’s move to wear masks can help slow the spread of the virus.
