Green Sustainable Transportation, Awareness, and Acceptance

Introduction

Green transportation or sustainable transportation entails the means by which movement or relocation of participants/raw materials takes place in line with sustainability principles. It encompasses little carbon (IV) oxide (CO2) and other pollutants emission as possible in urban mobility and process management in organizations.  As such, it can be said to refer to all kinds of transportation from the suppliers to purchasers with the lowest effects on the surroundings and the society. According to Abdel Wahed Ahmed and Abd El Monem (2020), sustainable transportation brings about small pollution transportation systems built to protect the environment and save maintenance costs. The essay examines awareness and acceptance of green sustainable transportation concept.

Awareness and Acceptance of Green Sustainable Transportation Concept

The essay emphasizes and analyzes awareness and acceptance of sustainable transport, which should be part of the environmental process. Notably, implementing the concept of sustainable transportation to reduce parking, road, and proceeding costs can help minimize adverse effects on the environment (Khoob & Ong, 2015). For instance, in most universities in the world, transportation systems are highly car-dependent, making organizations face the consequence of such systems.

According to Sultan, Tini, and Moeinaddini (2016), some of the consequences of increased transportation systems include but not limited to noise pollution, reduced safety, degrading air quality, and lack of land for new parking lots. It should be brought to people’s attention that transportation forms one of the most critical and problematic issues that the world faces. Nowadays, the parking lots are fully occupied, leading to environmental infections and abuse (Dubey & Gunasekaran, 2015). It should be remembered that to ensure complete transportation systems, vegetation and forest cover is cleared, and this exposes the soils to most ruthless agents of erosion and destruction. Such activities are known to have resulted in global warming and climate change in most parts of the world.

While comprehensive environmental protection activities are being witnessed, there is still a lack of coordinated and sustainable strategy to reduce the adverse effects of those activities and make the environment warm (Pojani & Stead, 2015). Ministry of transportation, in collaboration with other ministries, holds the capacity to shape people and everything around this concept to create environmental awareness and change the way in which future generations would behave to conserve the environment.

Other than that, people involved in transportation systems need to join programs (simple campaigns that ordinary people understand and acknowledge) connected with awareness of sustainable transportation. Through the work of Waqas, Dong, Ahmad, Zhu, and Nadeem (2018), readers understand that transportation participants can explore more and gain knowledge from green concepts. For instance, sustainable developments are meant to ensure that the available resources are utilized sparingly to meet future generations. With such understanding, it is crystal clear that people can confirm the dangers posed and consequently act accordingly by accepting green-sustainable transportation.

Conclusion

For instance, one would ask the essence of single-occupant cars and the inherent efficiency of two-wheeled transport systems.  With such understanding, people should focus more on public transport. Besides, the drivers of ecological systems should be given priority and contrasted with inefficient practices.
