At Talisman Stones Co. we understand the importance of giving back and that is why we usually set aside a percentage of our profits and channel it to our charity activities. Led by the Talisman Stones Co. CEO, Talisman Stones Co. has been able to impact so many lives through the several donations made. To give you a clear picture of what we are talking about, here are some of the charity-related activities we engage in;
Feeding Children in Burma
Most of the funds we set aside for charity goes towards feeding children in Burma. Burma, also known as Myanmar, is a country in South East Asia. It is borders, China, Bangladesh, Laos, India and Thailand.
If you have been to Burma, you can notice that the country is a lot of people there are low-income earners. That is why the country has one of the highest poverty rates in the region, 37.5%, according to World Bank and as we all know in situations like this children are affected the most. That is why we took it upon ourselves to donate food to children from time to time so that at least no children goes to bed hungry.
Provision of Supplies Natural Disasters
Another way in which Talisman Stones gives back to the society is through provision of supplies during natural disasters like floods and avalanches.
As we all know natural disasters are characterized by massive destruction of various kinds.
In as much as natural disasters are caused by “nature.” This means that no one has control, over them, all we can do is cope. In the spirit of coping, Talisman Stones Co. usually steps in and helps any affected victims.
We do this by supplying basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing, among many other things. With this we not only alleviate the force of the trouble caused but we also put a smile on people’s faces which reinforces the whole purpose of why we do this.
Making Donations to Patients in Mental Health Institutions
In most parts of the world, people suffering from mental illnesses, are often neglect by society. This is not right as everyone deserves to be treated humanely, loved and appreciated. Talisman Stones Co., understand this and that is why we make donations to various mental health institutions in different places.
A good example is the mental institution in Yangon. For the longest time now, Talisman Stones Co. has been making sure that patients there has access to hot, tasty and healthy meals throughout the day, something that is not sponsored by the establishment.
Furthermore, rather than just send food to these patients, Talisman Stones Co. team also gives back their time. Basically we usually visit the institution when making such donations. This goes a long way in showing the patients that we are standing with them and this gives them hope that one day things will be okay.
Provision of Sanitary Needs for local Villages and Kids
Provision of all the basic necessities is okay but one critical area is usually left out by most people when making donations and that is the people’s sanitary needs. That is why as Talisman Stones Co. we take a small chunk of the money set aside for charity and use it to provide sanitary facilities to the local village sin Burma.
In essence, we have been constructing several toilets, bathrooms, sinks and other sanitary-related amenities for the Burmese people for years now. Our efforts have borne fruit as we have noticed that the general hygiene conditions and well-being of the people we have provided these facilities has greatly improved. For that reason we will continue to do this not only in Burma but in other palace across the globe too.
