Gender inequities are practices of unfair and injustice in the treatment and distribution of resources, benefits and opportunities between men and women. The inequities may be within the health, education and humanitarian sectors. It means that one gender is treated unfairly and unjustly unlike the other thus are unequal. Gender inequities means that people are not allocated the resources or opportunities according to their needs because of their gender. Therefore, one gender is treated better than the other or left dependant on the other. Gender inequities are facilitated by poor governance and most likely culture. Culture is the main cause for gender inequities because many cultures regard men as the leaders, powerful and dominant. Therefore, they are allocated more than the women since they are always in the lead or at the top. It has extended and influenced many people leading to gender inequity in society, families and nations. People suffer in silence since there are also some laws in certain poorly governed nations that make it hard for the people to enjoy gender equity.

Furthermore, I support educating the mass as a gender inequity remedy because reaching the public is more effective than directly dealing with the government. Educating the public is made possible using seminars, workshops, campaigns and programs. Online platforms and other advertising platforms such as televisions and radios can also be used to conduct campaigns. The online platforms can effectively and efficiently reach the young people since they are the ones using them the most. The other people can get information through televisions and radios since people from all cultures and walks of life can hear and learn from the information. When people get educated, they are aware of the consequences and the challenges the unfairly treated gender faces. The government officials are also part of the public who will get educated about gender inequities.

Therefore, the government officials are likely to alter laws since they are more aware of the inequities and the challenges brought about by the inequities. The alteration of the laws to promote fairness and justice will bring many developments in society, families and nation. Change starts with the people themselves. It explains why educating the public is a more efficient and effective remedy. An educated public can influence those in authority to make changes that will build and develop them. The public who are in the grass roots know more of what is affecting them than those in power.

Moreover, educating the public makes it possible for people to make sound decisions. After getting to know about gender inequities, the people have an opportunity to either continue or stop practicing gender inequity. The decision solely lies on an individual unless strict regulations are placed to curb it. It is up to the individual to choose whether to follow morals instilled in them and treat male female fairly. The decision is upon the individual because some people practice it privately hence others are not aware. Therefore, if a person decides not to practice it then they start by not practising it privately.

Similarly, educating the public helps the people get rid of the factors that lead to the gender inequities. They can remove from power the leaders who are poorly governing the state leading to the inequities. Education gives them a chance to critically analyze their leaders thus giving them the ability to vote in good leaders. It will also help them do away with cultural norms and values that promote gender inequities.
