First Experience as a Health Professional Worker
In today’s increasingly competitive job market, one has to be outstanding in their resumes, have a great professional image, and good interviewing skills. Job seekers, therefore, have to truly stand out as the most qualified persons for the job.
In my first experience as a professional health worker, job searching was the first task I handled. I did extensive research on the internet and made sure to read the job description thoroughly before I applied for one and to ensure I met the qualifications needed. Secondly, I reviewed my resume to make sure it accurately reflects the skills that I have.
I revised my cover letter to ensure my credentials, experiences, and passion for the job are evident, including my qualifications. I also had to work on my professional image to ensure that I dressed, talked, appeared, and responded to others to convey the right image.
When I was accepted and invited for the interview, I had to do homework on the facility by conducting detailed research on the internet to familiarize myself with their programs. I thought of possible questions that I could be asked during the interview and perfected them. During the interview, I paid attention to the interviewer, maintained the right posture, and answered the questions posed keenly.
Observing good interviewing skills, maintaining the right professional image, writing an excellent resume, and diligently searching for a job are some of the factors that contributed to getting my first job as a professional health worker. Therefore, job seekers need to observe all these skills so that they can get a great job.
