Executive Summary
A business plan is a document that is prepared before opening a business. The plan will contain the company goals, the mission, and analysis of the various departments, such as marketing, products, and finance. The purpose of the business plan is to provide a guide to setting and operating the business that helps a business person understand the requirements needed while opening a business. The current business plan is for the Hypertension Community Outreach Program. This healthcare program is projected to work in rural and remote areas where other opportunities for quality healthcare may be lacking. The community outreach center seeks to provide treatment solutions to people of color who often cannot afford to go to a hospital.
The resources needed will be focusing on the various departments, including the finance department, human resource, marketing, and operational costs. Resources needed will come from donors, well-wishers, government, private grants, and donations by the people in these communities. The financial estimate for the start-up costs is $42,000. In contrast, this amount is already available through donations. Additional funds will be required to ensure that emergency costs can be met as and when they arise. A fund of $100,000 has been set aside for this. It is estimated that the company will need at least four CHWs. Besides, we are going to need two doctors and one additional staffer. Marketing shall be done through social media and mail fliers. These are the least expensive means to use as a starting point. The purpose of marketing is to ensure that our products are known and are well received within these communities and in the business world, where we expect that a lot of funding will emanate.
A business plan provided a roadmap for starting and operating a business. Creating a business plan aims to ensure that we have set out all the requirements, goals, and ethics to guide the community health center. The business plan is also crucial in helping the company stay within budget. It is also essential that we show donors and the government that we have set out exact parameters to work. It is anticipated that the business will be fully operational within three months. We also anticipate that we shall have a better idea of the business environment we are in and, therefore, can make appropriate changes. It is also anticipated that the business will grow exponentially within a year; therefore, staffing and funding requirements will be put in place to cater to these future needs.
