Great discussion Reda Al Dubais. I agree with you a lot of people have dreams, but they do not achieve them due to various barriers such as racism. Your analysis helps me to see racism presented in the “Fences” as a “dream killer.” In my essay, I intend to show that “Fences ” is about the life of Wilson which he wrote to communicate the heartbreaking reality about racism in his life. I could use this article in my essay to explain why African American finds it difficult to achieve their dreams in a white-dominated world. I could use Wilson as an example of an African American because his educational dreams were hampered by racism. The biographical analysis shows that Wilson was unable to complete his school because his teacher accused him of plagiarizing his paper. The teacher did not believe that the black people are intelligent.
