Dear Jane Smith,

I hope you are fine. I got concerned about the email you sent to me. First, I console with you for what your son is currently going through. However, there is a reason to smile even in the midst of these challenges because in this letter I have presented a detailed remedy for the challenges, notwithstanding that I have also mentioned the possible effects of the Percocet, marijuana, and alcohol on your son.

Let me first start with explaining to you what these drugs are. According to ….Percocet is an opioid pain reliever. This medicine is prescribed for patients who are suffering from severe pain. It constitutes narcotic oxycodone, Tylenol, fever reducer, analgesic medication, and non-narcotic pain reliever. ……describes alcohol as a colorless volatile flammable liquid that causes drunkenness in beer, spirits, and wines. The natural fermentation of sugars produces this substance. On the other hand, marijuana is the dried flowers, seeds, leaves, or stems from the cannabis indica plant or cannabis sativa.

Having explained what these drugs are, please look at their impacts on your son. Percocet will cause dry mouth, dizziness, loss of appetite, low blood pressure, constipation and flushing to not only your son but to whoever misuses it. Note that the short-term effects of this medicine last for approximately 4 to 6 hours in humans’ body. The long- term impacts of Percocet may include kidney failure, tolerance, liver injuries, and urinary retention, to mention a few. Though some effects of Percocet may resemble that of marijuana and alcohol, they differ to some extent.

In that regard, it will not be advisable to generalize the effects of these drugs. Alcohol may lead to slurred speech, drowsiness, diarrhea, headaches, impaired judgment, coma, unconsciousness, blackouts, breathing difficulties, vomiting as well as the upset stomach. It long term effects include sexual problems, ulcers, cancer of both the throat and mouth, malnutrition, permanent injuries to the brain, liver disease, nerve injuries, high blood pressure, enhanced family issues and loss of productivity.

Beside,….presents the effects of marijuana as follows: the short term effects include enhanced risks of cancer, elevated heart rate, declined reaction time, sexual issues for male, increased chances of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, severe anxiety, panic, hallucination, extreme strange behavior, and memory problems. Long term impacts of cannabis include lower life satisfaction, financial issues, enhanced welfare issues, decline in IQ, antisocial behaviors, addiction as well as impaired thinking and problems with getting employed.
