Abstract

The purpose of this report is to identify and recommend a solution to a particular problem which faces our local businesses. There are many local businesses out there which are very crucial in our societies. These businesses bring culture and diversity together, creating a local positive atmosphere and a sense of unity in society. You will find that most people in society spend the long part of their life, saving money to get capital to invest or start the business of their interest. Although there is a huge problem of failure to expose and reach the targeted audience, their businesses fail. Through business analysis techniques, this problem was identified, and the major findings were that local businessmen did not have the right ways to expose and reach the right market for their products. I recommend that the reader employs the use of a community App. This app will help show the kind of businesses available in one area within which the right customers can be available.

Introduction

For this report, I have identified DZIGN Company, a startup business in Hyderabad, India. This small business has chosen to develop websites, and other related products such as Mobile & Web Designing solutions for both platforms, Creative Digital Designs illustrations, motion graphics, and banner for websites are provided. This is a business with a vision to grow into a medium-size business by 2025 in India and its outskirts. It aims at using the most improved innovations to provide the best services and products to society. Although, because this is a startup company, it is faced with being exposed to its target groups, which are the accountants, lawyers, doctors, cottage industries, and other businesses that need to use websites in their organization.

Therefore, for this report, I will analyze how the problem of failure to be exposed and reach to the prospects and clients is an issue in DZIGN Company, suggest the need for a solution, and offer the most effective solution which should be implemented by this company.

Significance of the research problem

Every business succeeds only if it manages to reach its right audience or target market. There is a great need to reach the right audience, especially in small businesses that have not gained popularity and a great reputation to be investigated. This will help or lead to the identification of a good solution to this problem. Thus, most of the startup organizations like DZIGN Company, which have a very good vision, will be able to become familiar or be known to their prospects clients and customers will sustain in the market.

Research Methodology 

A research was conducted in Hyderabad, India, where some of the small or startup businesses had their managers being interviewed or given questionnaires. A sample of five companies, including DZING Company, was interviewed on the issue they faced in their businesses, which could have hindered their success. The interview sessions were recorded in audiotapes, which facilitated an analysis of the problem identified. Most of the interview questions were based on or rather were concerning the identified research study problem of failure to be exposed and reach to the prospective audiences. Questionnaires were issued specially to the managers. They also provided information regarding how most business hopes were ruined if they did not advertise their existence well to their target market or audience.

 

Results/Analysis

From the research study taken in the Hyderabad region in India, it was found that most individuals in that area have a great passion for investing their savings in some forms of businesses, which could bring culture and diversity together and hence, bringing a sense of local unity in the region. It was found that most of them venture into various businesses like the case of DZIG Company, which has initiated the provision of websites and other related products to the community. However, most of these businesses did not prosper or rather last for so long.

From the interviews, it was analyzed that most interviewees claimed that advertisement was the major issue facing small scale industries in this region. Those interviewed argued that most of the businesses could establish their businesses in that region, but the problem they majorly face is how to reach their intended audience or customers. Most of them start and fail to reach their target audiences, eventually leading to their collapse as there is nothing else they could do. The questionnaires provided by managers showed that most businesses and especially small one DZIGN Company could invest millions of money just to show one ad for one day on television. This ad may even not reach the respective audience. This means the company will accrue losses for advertisement, which does not improve the company’s sales either promote them. Therefore, if DZIGN Company could get an effective way of reaching its target audience, it would be easier for it to thrive.

Solutions

There are some solutions to the problem of reaching the targeted audience. For instance, if the small business firms may partner and start one huge company that could stand on itself, it would be one of the viable solutions. This is because the businesses will be able to pool together the resources and market their products and services and reach their intended audience in the market. The only major issue with this kind of solution is that the firms may have different interests in success, which may hinder their prosperity. The other alternative solution is the Community App. If implemented, this is a more viable solution because it will show all kinds of businesses in the App that are within the customer’s local area and then narrow down to show the stores within the customer’s preferred locations. It will also show any bonus sales which the company is offering to the App users. This means that the more you purchase or shop from your favorite store, the more likely you will earn discounts in the future. This means the business will be able to be identified by its target audience in the region.

Recommendations/Conclusions

I recommend that DZIGN Company implement the Community App as its most viable solution. This is because Hyderabad is a region where people embrace the use of technology such as e-commerce, and thus, they will definitely be interested in using such App. Again, the cost of creating this app is not very high such that this business cannot be able to make it. This company deals with websites, and its employees have high knowledge of dealing with online services, which could be an added advantage as the company will not invest in training the workers on how to use this App. On testing the App’s usability, the reader will find that most of the audiences have been reached who are within the region of operation and even those who are far-away. This means the problem of reaching prospective customers will have been solved through the use of the Community App. Those already started using the App will encourage and motivate their peers and friends to join App. This means the company will have secured a lot of customers, and it will improve its sales volume and, hence, achieve its 2025 vision of being a medium-sized business in the region. The reader would not regret having implemented this Community App as it is full of benefits discussed in the solution part. This App will help customers identify everything that the organization offers to the market, its most convenient stores will also be easily identified by the prospective customers, and this will secure the company large market base in the region, which will help it compete favorably in the market and thrive all challenges.
