Introduction
With the increased competition in different sectors in various industries today, adequate measures are to be kept to ensure the organization’s success and the set organizational goals are achieved. Some of these goals would be integrity, effective communication, and hard work, among others. Communication is the process of passing information from one individual to another. Therefore, this paper looks at some of the importance of having correctly integrated communication systems in healthcare organizations.
Communication is essential to the growth and success of any organization. It generally entails how information is passed to ensure no misunderstandings are experienced. Therefore, a well-integrated communication system would be very beneficial to help in the different healthcare stakeholders’ success. The integration of various communication systems in the healthcare industry would ensure that the patients and clients receive the same correct information in all sources. Through the different integrated communication systems in the healthcare sectors, effective communication between doctor or nurse and the patient helps get the right prescriptions to enhance recoveries. Communication systems in the healthcare sector would also reduce operational efficiency, ensuring every individual follows the same strategies that would, in return, help achieve organizational goals.
The local community hospital in my area in the previous years experienced various communication problems. Since adopting effective measures, they have significantly changed how different information is assembled, processed, and assimilated. Through effective verbal communication, the doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff have adopted effective measures to ensure their messages are being passed out (Kreps, 2017). The patients have had an easy time to understand and assimilate information. They have also achieved organizational success through various non-verbal communication methods. Gestures and happy facial expressions have been used to create a good rapport between the staff and the patients.
