In conclusion, colorectal cancer starts as a small benign pre-cancerous growth, mostly affecting the aged, and therefore screening for the age above 50years is recommended. The cancer cells grow into the lymph vessels and later affect the nearby lymph nodes. The diseases may be caused by hereditary and lifestyle factors such as smoking, lack of physical exercise. Colorectal cancer treatment is dependent on the size, location, and extent of the cancerous spread (Siegel et al., 2017). Colorectal cancer can be easily treated in the initial stages before widespread to other regions. Various methods are applied in diagnosing colorectal cancer, such as blood testing and fecal testing, to determine blood in the stool. Surgery can be performed to remove the cancerous cells if not widely spread.
Summary question
Colorectal cancer mortality and incidence rate in the world has been on the rise in the past few years. The survival rate has declined, especially when diagnosis occurs after spread to the regional lymph nodes. Using infographics, describe the percentage death rate in Asia in the last two years.
