Response one on Supervision in Social Work I appreciate Carly Smith for sharing her work with me for a response. Her clarity in the stipulation of a supervisor’s roles provides a basis for a deep understanding of these roles to any reader. I agree with the statement that comes out about a supervisors’ liability on the organization’s other employees. Additionally, I agree with her expression towards the supervisor’s authority and power and how they interrelate with supervision’s social standards. She has outlined his challenge of uniting the supervisee and the supervisor. This is a major challenge experienced in supervision since some works may adopt compliance accompanied by defiance of the required behavior and disobedience due to what has been termed as the social workers’ autonomy. She also recommends that supervisors should be ready to learn to solve such issues within the organization. The question of the collaborative efforts by both the supervisors and supervise is of concern. Through the power accorded to them, the supervisor can stimulate the necessary actions from the other workers. Each situation and circumstance requires…
Response to Student’s post The term ‘vulnerable population’ is defined differently by many people and brought about arguments on its meaning. However, just like the post articulates the definition regardless of which context should always envelop the protection of populations’ welfare and health, such as expectant women, mentally incapacitated people, and economically or informatively (Shivayogi, 2013). The mentioned population requires paramount care, particular additional considerations, and increases safeguarding if they are involved in a clinical(xxx0. By the post suggesting that the inclusion of this disadvantaged population in research is a public health-related ethical violation, it means that in this evolving world we are in today, they are most likely to be left out of crucial researches that would bring about insight and innovation that would help in solving their health problems. Considering this, in a case where a vulnerable group is involved, such as the example of syphilis studies in Tuskegee, critical measures and keen monitoring is required to ensure that the research is carried out ethically to avoid violations such as the ones committed in Tuskegee case (CDC, 2020).…
Szilard’s campaign against dropping the atomic bomb Question one It was a challenging experience for me to locate the required primary sources. In the beginning, I thought that t had located the sources only for me to realize that there were not actual and did not contain the exact information I was looking for. However, the previous research that I have done was less complicated compared to this exercise. Question two I was able to locate the interview with Tom Evans who was a close ally of President Truman as they combined efforts to have Truman support their campaign against the use of atomic bombs. It was easy to locate the interview from the Truman Library Archives using the search terms “Tom Evans Interview”. The search brought about several links all titled “Oral History Interview with Tom L. Evans” with different dates. Since I was sure on the right link, I chose the oldest which happened to be the exact one that I was looking for. The page contained hyperlinks that had various subjects among them “Atomic Bomb.” The link…

Rhetorical Analysis of Claudia Rankine “Citizen”: What brought about the title of the book? Citizen means a person who is a legally recognized member of a particular nation who is entitled to the benefits that are tied to being a legal member of that nation. The formal and recognized meaning of a citizen is a legally recognized subject or national of a state or commonwealth, either native (by birth) or through naturalization—also, an inhabitant of a particular town or city. “Citizen| is a very provocative meditation on race. It is the embodiment of boldly discussing mounting racial aggressions in ongoing encounters in the twenty-first-century everyday life and in the media. “Citizen” explains that some slights, seeming slips of the tongue, and intentional offensives are widespread. A Black person is most likely to be affected when there are many different places of operation such as work, online, on electronic devices, and in the pitch for Black persons that are actively involved in professional sports such as Serena Williams (Rankine). The effect of racial aggressions, as seen, is that they curtail the freedom…
Sarafina! – Freedom Is Coming Tomorrow During this time, South Africa was experiencing quite a tumulus period as the Afrikaans were decrying the mistreatment they were getting from the Whites.
