Evaluation of Waste Management in Construction Project in the U.K. Student’s Name: Student’s ID: Abstract In this paper, the construction industry has been identified as the key source which contributes to industrial waste. Therefore, it can be said that construction waste has become one of the major challenges that have an adverse effect on the economy of the U.K., the Environment as a whole, and also the social life of people. Illegal dumping has become a major issue in this addition to construction waste. The more sustainable approaches are being identified, those are reuse, recycle, prevention of waste at the planning stage itself, which can significantly reduce and prevent the generation of waste from the construction industry. The literature review has been conducted, and the methodologies that have been used to carry on the research have been discussed in detail. The collection and analysis of data have also been done to provide a more clear picture of the waste reduction and minimizing techniques that have been adopted by the…
Transparency and Accountability Student’s Name Institution Course Name Abstract Democracy is maintained through accountability and transparency of the government to the public. Therefore, every government has the responsibility to ensure that it is transparent and accountable to its citizens. Even though the government’s federal agencies are distinct in functions and nature, they all have the mandate to ensure that information is contained in records that are accessible to the public and that the information contained is relevant and transparent. Therefore, to ensure that the people have this democratic aspect, the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Acts work hand in hand. The two provisions are similar in functionality and ensure that there is the right to access the information or the records of the agencies that may contain relevant information to the public and provide the means for doing so. However, each provision has exemptions to this democratic aspect. For instance, information regarding the supervision of financial institutions is exempted from disclosure. This research paper embarks into an intensive exploration…

Personal Statement What’s up everybody, it’s our Win it Minute for the day. Wherever you are, I hope they would make an awesome day because no matter the obstacles in front of you, every day is an opportunity for you to win the day. Today I want to talk about the concept of focus and attention, and how your mindset, and what you focus on, can be the difference in winning your day and not winning your day. And sometimes that difference is so small. So razor-thin, that you can’t even tell, but it all matters about your focus and your attention. In nature and life, the strongest forces are the most powerful when they’re focused. Think about a rainstorm, sometimes you get a little bit of rain or a little bit of wind, or when it comes through like a hurricane, it’s such a focused amount of energy coming through, steam is so powerful. It’s more powerful, though when it’s directed into a small amount. That steam can power a locomotive engine, as opposed to just out randomly…
Youth Cultures and Subcultures Name Affiliation Instructor Course Date Youth culture can be defined as the cultural practice of young individuals or adolescents by which they demonstrate their belonging sense and express their identities to a specific young people group. Additionally, youth culture is defined as symbolic systems and processes shared by young people and are distinct from those of other adults and parents in the community. Juvenile cultural expressions and their early perceptions promoted the idea that, as a social group, youth adheres to common behavior, goals, and values very different from those of the world of adults. After these conceptions, new ideas came in that focused more on the internal differentiation of youth culture. The most prominent ideology about youth cultures were the ones that linked juvenile cultural expressions to the inequality structure in modern society, hence, giving a perception of them as class-specific youth cultures. Youth culture is a fascinating topic of sociology. Youths can be grouped or classified into many subcultures,…
Benefits Of LIFI Multiple surveys that aim to highlight the feasibility of this innovation in practice have also been conducted. For instance, Memon et al. (2017) performed a study to ascertain the feasibility of LIFI in the modern world by evaluating the standardization process, market acceptance, and production trends. This particular survey’s outcomes linked LIFI’s practicability with leaps in data rates in less than a decade. The aforementioned findings were consistent with the notion that light has a wider bandwidth than radiofrequency waves. The outcomes showed that the bandwidth of LIFI is 10,000 more than radio waves; it is also 1000 times broader than the information/data density of WIFI (Abdullah et al., 2020; Bin, 2018; Egjam et al., 2015; Memon et al., 2017). The system’s hardware has also gone through a revolutionary range, with the size being reduced to over 50% (Memon et al., 2017). Other benefits of the system include efficiency, transmission capacity, cost-effectiveness, and security (Abdullah et al., 2020; Bin, 2018; Egjam et al., 2015; Memon et al., 2017). The cost of LED lights is also relatively cheap,…
Visual analysis of Daisy ad. “Daisy,” famously known as “Daisy Girl,” was a controversial political advertisement aired in United States Televisions during the 1964 presidential elections by incumbent president Lyndon B. Johnson’s campaign. This ad is just a minute long and appeared on NBC Monday night at the movies. As time describes it, once the countdown ends, then screen erupts in an atomic explosion, then the voice of Lyndon Baines Johnson who somberly says, “These are the stakes: To make a world in which all of God’s Children can live or go into the dark. We must either love each other or we must die”. This ad remains controversial in the United States 50 years later. This ad was very different from other ads in the past because never before had anyone witnessed a political ad talking about its opponents been in such a spiteful way. This ad was the very first political attack ad and is attributed to relentless campaign negativity. There was no single politician who aired an ad with a nuclear bomb detonation ever. This was indeed…
Substance Use and Domestic Violence Among Latina Women Literature Review The marginalized groups in America, Latina, Hispanics, have been researched to undergo various problems, for example, intimate partner violence and engagement to substance abuse. Most of the incidences reported from studies indicate that IPV incidences result in sexual, physical, or psychological harm to victims. Most of the violent acts reported are from psychological abuse and sexual coercion (Sabina et al., 2015). This issue raises a lot of concern among many researchers and remains a prevalent international health problem. The literature underlying this area of study has recognized the growing violence to women and therefore becoming a field of study that requires evidence-based interventions to address the problem (Ulibarri et al., 2015). Many questions have been raised concerning these sub-populations in America regarding their ease of access to evidence-based IPV interventions and evaluate whether the inventions effectively solve IPV within these populations. Most high-income countries like the U.S are currently facing it difficult to address the sub-populations or minority groups’ healthcare needs, for example, within the Latina people. The aspect…
URBANIZATION Urbanization helps advance the country’s trade and commerce sectors in that it leads to the availability of jobs, which leads to a diverse economy. Trade and commercialization offer towns and cities profitable business and employment opportunities in urban areas. A good network of goods and services helps develop modern commercial institutions, contributing to urban areas’ growth. This happens when people move from rural areas to urban areas to search for services found in urban areas to satisfy their needs. The high population in urban areas leads to developing a good transport and communication system that enables easy mobility, thus improving infrastructure. In contrast, cities with tourist attraction sites create a tremendous foreign currency flow in the city economy. An increase in urbanization leads to a rise in culture and science activities. When different cultures interact and work together, there will be better education and living standards, projecting good social life and better recreational lifestyles. Hence It promotes the migration of people from rural to urban areas in search of better services. Urbanization, however, on the other…
Response to Heather’s Post I agree with your post on the discussion. You have correctly declared that combination therapy is when two antibiotics are used to either produce a more substantial effect or when one antibiotic inhibits the effect of the other. Similarly, I believe that there is the possibility of bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics, which may involve changes in the drug receptors or the drug’s metabolic inactivation. Consequently, drugs designed to stop the cell wall synthesis in bacteria would not affect human cells because they do not have a cell wall (Neu & Gootz, 1996). I support your declaration that antibiotics act on bacterial cells by stopping cell wall synthesis or by targeting processes that both bacterial cells and human cells have in common, like protein synthesis or DNA replication. However, I have a question, What Is the Main Goal of Studying Microbiology? Generally, the work is excellent. Congratulations! Response to Zoe’s Post I concur with your post on the discussion. Usually, drugs that inhibit general metabolic pathways are not used by humans. The term chemotherapy…
