Personal Statement I belong to a community of learners. During my freshman year, I volunteered at a tutorial centrally located within an undeveloped community in the Bronx. I spent countless hours creating lesson plans, assisting teachers, and helping in the tutorial’s daily operations. It was until I became a tutor at the center that I realized I could have a larger impact. I began teaching a small class of 3rd graders on the weekends and tutoring middle school students during the weekdays. At first, I enjoyed tutoring. I felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that my students left the tutorial learning something new or reinforcing a topic they recently learned in school. With my students learning, test scores improving, and my manager complimenting me on my skills, I was excited for every new day. And then, I met Baidy, one of my students who was visibly struggling in every class. Seeing his grades during the enrollment process, I thought I was tasked with helping an unmotivated and careless student excel in school, a seemingly impossible task. We worked together for…
The black power movement After watching the black power mixtape (2011) documentary film, I discovered that the black power movement was used to promote black nationalism and self-determination. The black power movement advocated fighting for equal rights and political gains for the citizens. Black movement power seems to concentrate more on the militants as compared to the present days. Black movement power marked the turning point in the black-white relations in the US. The movement also created a different picture of the blacks saw themselves. The movement instilled a sense of racial pride as well as self-esteem among blacks. The blacks were given the power to improve their lives. By the black leadership view in the 21st century, black leadership seems to be still fighting for similar things as the black power movement. In Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech, she acknowledged women who fought and sacrificed for equality, liberty, and justice for all. She said,” I reflect on their struggle, their determination, and the strength of their vision to see what can be unburdened by what has been. And I stand…
Data processing is generally the collection and manipulation of items of data to produce meaningful information (Watson, 2015). In this sense it can be considered a subset of information processing, the change (processing) of information in any manner that is detected by an observer (Brannen, 2017). Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusion and supporting decision making (Watson, 2015). The study will involve the collection of primary data right from the field. The raw data will be edited to improve its quality through data coding whereby the categories of data are transformed into symbols that may be tabulated and counted (Creswell & Creswell, 2017). The study will make use of both the descriptive and inferential data analysis. Descriptive data analysis will quantitatively describe the main features of a collection or set of data whereas inferential data analysis uses a relatively small sample of data to say something about a bigger population (Watson, 2015). In descriptive analysis, the mean, median, mode, percentage frequency and range of data…
The hot air balloon The hot air balloon and Guy’s obsession- the hot air balloon symbolize hope, class, economic prosperity, and social gratification. It is a major source of conflict due to Guy’s obsession. The hot air balloon is an American got asset that no one but the Assads can afford in the shantytown, and this is a concept well known to all the inhabitants. The hot air balloon is a clear reminder of classism and a tool for separation to the societies’ eyes, but in Guy’s eyes, it is an escaping technique. He fantasizes about using the hot air balloon to fly away of escape from his responsibilities and all the frustrations of life. In one of Guy’s fantasies, he takes the hot air balloon to a place where he can and free to build his own house, and it shows how much he perceives it as his ticket to freedom. The hot air balloon, in the end, becomes a tool for him to commit suicide. In his fantasies, he sees himself flying the balloon high like a bird…

Student’s name Instructor’s name Institutional affiliation Date Corporate responsibility Corporate responsibility is the ability of corporate firms to control their actions in the market, which happens to be the real world. The current state of affairs positively drives it in the real world. Unfortunately, this state of affairs is very high competitiveness to survive every test placed along the road. The main issue on the market that these firms consider as a significant concern is consumer satisfaction with profit maximization in the back of the mind. Such a goal causes organizations to be self-centered and very mean since they only care about how deep they will go into their client’s pockets, how huge they will make the sales, how enormous the firm will grow into, at the very expense of either the local consumer, other small businesses out there and even worse at the expense of their workers in that particular firm in question. This shows how rotten a system can be if it only cares about money over basic human survival. In journals written by scholars about this matter,…
