5.2 CONCLUSION The study has confirmed that domestic violence is a significant problem in Kenya. The presence of multiple laws does not guarantee to alleviate the menace that women, men, and children face within their homes. Members of the community also share part of the blame by challenging the implementation of domestic violence that men, women, and children are facing. Where the relevant laws are not enforced, it gives no relief to citizens. Prevention services should aim to improve access to education, health, and social services and reduce poverty and gender inequalities. Strategies aimed at the protection of victims of domestic violence should address the root cause of this violation. There is a need to reserve the aforementioned shortcomings like police ignorance that impedes the protection of DV victims. Retrogressive cultural beliefs that harbor realization of justice in matters of domestic violence. Ignorance and illiteracy levels are still high among the people. With the number of cases rising during this Covid-19 pandemic due to quarantine quagmire, domestic violence laws need to be harmonized and effectively implemented no more than…

Consequences of Preemptive Military Attack against North Korea by the USA   The former USA congressman Duncan Hunter’s argument that the United States should launch a preemptive military attack against North Korea would result in massive negative repercussions, thus hindering President Trump’s re-election in 2020 (Davis, 2016). America is a world-leading democracy and a respecter of the rule of law; thus, the attacks in North Korea would not be an easy decision to make. It would be a wide range of consulting decisions, and the 2020 elections question would play a role. In my thinking, I don’t think President Trump is not likely to start a war with North Korea since there is a likelihood of counter attacks by North Korea. Most Pundits in Washington, DC have put assertions that the preemptive attacks and strikes in North Korea by the USA government would trigger immense counterattack by President Kim Jong-un (Lee, 2017). Many USA citizens stay in South Korea, which would be very risky because the North Korean military’s airstrikes would harm them and put them at risk (Bar-Yam, 2017).…

Response: Credibility of a Claim       Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Course Professor’s Name Date           Response: Credibility of a Claim I agree that a credible claim is accurate, and the sources are supporting the claim is valid. Besides, claim claims are not biased because they have evidence supported by legitimate sources and does not contradict information. When evaluating a claimant’s credibility, we do not just consider the sources or the claim themselves, but other factors are still looked upon to determine whether a claim is credible (Moore & Parker, 2017, p.98). Also, look at the authors and date. When evaluating a claim for credibility, look at the following: objectivity, accuracy, authority, coverage, and currency, which will help you in evaluation. Ask yourself whether you understand the claim’s context, whether the claim has a plausible feature, and does align with your argument. Bandwagon advertising is a fallacy that convinces the audience that something is true just because it’s popular amongst the users. It is not a credible claim because…

Smith, J. F. (1996). Analyzing ethical conflict in the transracial adoption debate: Three conflicts involving community. Hypatia, 11(2), 1-33.   Problem statement The social problem that prompted me to search the existing literature is racism. A person is said to have been subjected to racism when he is discriminated against because of their color (REFERENCE). Racism is one of the factors that is threatening the process of biracial adoption. Most biracially adopted children have been subjected to racism in their families, in the neighborhoods, and in learning institutions (REFERENCE). The children that are subjected to racism get traumatized, and that affects their development. As a result, many parents, especially African Americans, are against African American children getting adopted into white American families. In American society today, racism is becoming a major issue. Even though all people of color are subjected to racism in the United States, African Americans to huge have suffered the negative impacts of racism (REFERENCE). Also, African Americans believe that when their children are adopted into white families, they will be taught new ways of life contrary…

Racial inequality Racial inequality and race have significantly shaped the history of America since its inception. These issues are highlighted in the book by Anne Moody as she primarily focuses on her experiences of racism as well as racial inequality. In this essay, racial inequality will be explored in terms of contemporary realities and historical variations. This will be done by analyzing the experiences of Anne Moody in relation to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Therefore; the argument will be based on the link between racial inequality, racism, and racial justice while focusing on race-related issues. After the Civil War, African Americans were given their freedom and equal rights awarded to them as a result of the new amendments entailed in the Constitution. However, the federal government was lagging when it came to enforcing these lawful amendments in the South, and this led to whites blatantly terrorizing blacks because they viewed them as second-class citizens (book). While in college, Anne fought for Black voters to be registered, and she hoped to do this by transforming the legal outlook of America…

Student Name Title : Changing Personas Institution                       Changing Personas Much has been discussed on how individuals engage in dynamic personalities to fit in and manage perception, specifically on face to face interactions. Face-to-face interaction of even the simplest sort is a far more socially intricate operation than we generally recognize. It is rife with unacknowledged rituals, tacit understandings, covert symbolic exchanges, impression management techniques, and calculated strategic manoeuvrings. Scholar like Erving Goffman have attempted to study this human trait , on his trip to the Shetland Islands in the 1950s to do fieldwork on the social structure of the island community for his PhD dissertation. However, he found that the complex interpersonal relationships in the hotel he stayed at to be a much richer site for social study. The theories that became the basis for his dramaturgical approach in The Presentation of the Self in Everyday Life (1959) developed from his detailed observations of the elaborate “interaction rituals” in everyday social interaction. People always try to…
