Honolulu is one of the most expensive rails in the country; it is faced with a challenge that might affect its completion. The residents watch as the railbuses get tested on elevated tracks (McAvoy, 2020). Unfortunately, they might never have the experience of railbuses because of the rail stops between the towns. Supporters are willing to complete the rail, and it is within their desires to ensure that the rail is a benefit to members of the public. However, there is a dilemma on the way forward. Galicha is one of the residents, and it is frustration that she will not be using rail. The traffic has been one of the big issues, and that has seen some of the travels and rides spending twice more time than they would spend without traffic (McAvoy, 2020). If a train would be present to offer transport services, Galicha would only take 31 minutes, which is only a minute longer than a car ride.
The main issue that has been affecting the completion of the rail is the high costs. Based on the estimates made earlier, the rail will cost $2 billion more, which is a figure that the local administration might not manage to raise (McAvoy, 2020). Rick Blangiardi is a newly elected mayor in the area and one of the people who have been supporting the completion of the rail. However, the issue of money continues to be a worrying one. However, the Mayor has vowed to bring on board all stakeholders and forge the way forward.
