Introduction.
Statistics have been part of the health care system from the time of the invention of medical science. Its relevance is valid as it helps identify disease distribution and trends, both national and international. Cases of diseases (morbidity), mortality rate, treatment, and general administration of drugs, among other medical procedures, are monitored and controlled by the knowledge of statistics. Funding and general administration of medical care activities required in-depth analysis, and this can only be possible when statistical data are made available. Therefore the significance of statistical application in healthcare controls the quality of services, safety, and health promotion and leadership. This paper is yet to present the whole concepts of statistical application in the health care system and how it can be used to decide.
Application of statistics in health care, precisely its significance to quality, safety, health promotion, and leadership
Quality
The main aim of every healthcare system is to deliver quality health services through various agencies and personnel. The involvement of statistical applications is paramount and acts as the driver behind all health sector activities. Statistical information is needed to evaluate and analyze medical processes, whether they’re meeting the intended goals and achievements (Fan, 2017). Set standards in the healthcare system are grounded on statistical knowledge; this comes because quality service delivery in healthcare means protection from diseases, a proper treatment accessible to everyone, and prevention services. For all of these to be guaranteed, statistical data is required to determine which population is more vulnerable than the other. The appropriate treatment method and the most recommended prevention strategies for a given group of people can only be determined through statistical analysis; therefore, this explains the relevance and significance of quality.
Safety
Safety is another priority that controls healthcare system activities, and its collaboration with the statistical application is necessary and crucial. Therefore in all aspects of the healthcare system, statistics fit perfectly, and its significance is evident.
In healthcare, obtaining statistical data is done through various points and, for example, during information collection where bio-data is collected. Other means of obtaining data are surveys and billing statements. The emergence of technology has enabled the collection of statistical data easy and efficient. This is because doctors can refer to the data anytime they need to do so; generally, the trend that is provided by static data helps in working for the entire medical world.
The application of these data in the healthcare industry’s day-to-day operation covers various events; this includes the invention and introduction of new management, treatment, and disease prevention strategies. Through decisions, this information can be used to strategize various policies. Various medicine branches, e.g., psychology and cardiology, use statistical information daily to improve medical services.

In conclusion, every aspect of healthcare involves using a statistical approach to improve the standards of medical service. Data is the pre-determinant of the success of all medical interventions and policies. Therefore, this calls for integrations of consideration of more statistical information. The main idea presented here is that applying the statistical data is significant because it is used as a guide in decision making. It guides the performance and results; basically, the data is used widely in the health care organization to gauge the performance and evaluate results obtained from medical research. Most human agencies usually engage in statistical information, which is used to determine the well-being of the healthy population. The hospitals and the companies are required to understand the patient data to give an accurate assessment of the patient as well s establish the effectiveness of the various treatment and symptoms.
