African Americans, and the Mexicans

There are many similarities and differences in the two claims for greater rights in American society, as stated below. One major similarity is where the two sources address issues of races, African Americans, and the Mexicans, who contributed significantly to the growth and success of America. This is clearly depicted in the excerpt in a statement that Wesley elaborates that the blacks are deprived of the four essential types of freedom. Moreover, both groups were remarkably hard workers and certainly attested their resiliency by existing through oppression. The Negros have wanted opportunity and freedom. This is by liberating the United States citizens using their documents. Additionally, the Negroes have desired to have the freedom for speech since they have always been silently acquiescent in every aspect of their living. Since they have always existed as marginal workers, the Negros have always desired the freedom to want. This is evidently depicted in the statement indicating that the negro has continued being a marginal employee. The rivalry with the white workforce has left him in need in numerous zones of an economically sufficient country.

Basically, both agree that both settle on a notion that basic human rights should never be resolved based on their race. Since the Negros are deprived of freedom, they are advocating for a free peace of color and race restrictions, exploitation and imperialism, and comprehensive of the contribution of subgroups globally containing their own form of government. Negros are left wondering what freedom they are fighting to acquire. The same freedom they fight against is restricting, exploiting, excluding, debasing, and suppressing these colored individuals in various nations. One of the major and the most powerful similarity existing is that both groups took a chance of going to war and fought for the United States and later returned home to devastating hate and discrimination. Through this form of hatred, the Negro necessitates democracy and freedom to begin in their nations, which they are not subjected to. Disdain’s existence, disparagement of Americans of African descent, and hatred have resulted in insecure democratic living.

These soldiers walked for very long distances around the earth and received respectable treatment from most white Europeans. They viewed the differences in race concerns in the US compared to other parts of the world. Unlike the Europeans, they were exploited, restricted, and took less or no participation in their government form. They made a great achievement of conquering their rivals and emerging as winners despite them not winning their peace. Although the Negros won the war, they lacked freedom of peace, which excluded them from performing various duties. After their heroism and sacrifice, the Negros ought to be welcomed and respected in their country of residence, but these never happened. As a result, they suffered from exploitation, restriction, among others.

The major difference between the two bases was how the writer of the editorial referred to Mexican Americans compared to African Americans. It almost signaled as though they saw them below themselves. The African Americans were the key personnel who took part in the war for freedom, but after the war, they were not treated properly and never had freedom. Lastly, the other difference that existed was less violence experienced by the Mexican –Americans from their white colleagues. This was based on color and race. Since the Mexican-American was white, they were treated and received well compared to the African- American who was never recognized even after conquering their enemies. The Mexican-Americans participated in their government by taking certain leadership positions compared to African- Americans who were exploited, restricted, and were never included in their government.
