He guided the company to immense profitability till its merger with Havas for more than $2.3 billion, at the time the largest merger ever in the marketing industry.
Synder, a year after acquiring the majority stake in Washington Football, took it upon himself to bring the Washington community together for charitable courses. Resulting in the Washington Charitable Foundation, which has focused greatly on issues on health and education, enabling numerous individuals and organizations improve their lives and operations using more than $29 million which it donated. Moreover, Synder’s philanthropy has been felt in numerous places in the US and around the world. For instance, during Hurricane Matthew in the Caribbean, he mobilized delivery of emergency supplies to the region with the aid of two Washington Footballers.
Dan Synder has also invested in appreciating the military community through the inception of the Salute program, which serves and supports the military community. Synder also partnered with Gary Sinise Foundation to make a specially adapted house for paralyzed veteran Capt. Luis Avila.
Children’s health care and education programs are also of immense importance to him. His organization impact’s on many disadvantaged children giving them a lease at life through his ventures in the Children’s National Hospital, NCMEC, and even Loads of Love that avails free laundry services to children.
During the initial stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, he aided set up a testing facility for Prince George’s County. He also donated $100,000 to Capital Area Food Bank to help feed individuals greatly impacted by the pandemic. Moreover, after the regrettable murder of George Floyd, Synder donated $250,000 to help spread awareness on social injustice.
