There are different types of elements that lead to crime. The elements include; criminal act, criminal intent, concurrence, causation, and harm. A criminal act is a process where a crime occurs by one doing wrong, and they are accused. Secondly, criminal intent is a state of mind statutorily for convicting a particular defendant of a particular crime. Concurrence is another element where it is found in the law. It is usually in a certain legal system where and it is an opinion written by judges of a court. It agrees with the decision made by the majority of a court but states different reasons as the basis for his or her decision. Causation, also as an element, is usually a state that contributes to producing another event where the cause is partly responsible for the effect. The effect depends on the cause. When it is said that harm is an element of crime its is caused through the actions to some legally protected value.
